Been rewatching Power Rangers over the last few months, and it seems like almost every season has the villains infiltrate the Rangers' base and destroy it in or near the finale, and while I understand it's supposed to raise the tension and stuff, it frankly just comes off as lazy and tired when it's done almost every season.

I've been rewatching Jungle Fury, and did they ever explain how RJ is able to call on the Tiger and Jaguar zords himself? Casey and Theo barely even question it, and RJ just continues to call on their zords to form the Wolf combination of the Jungle Pride Megazord once the others unlock Master Mode and the zords that came with it.

This is mostly my theory on why Orko's magic doesn't work very well on Eternia in the original Funimation series. I think it boils down to one thing: the abundance of technology on Eternia. Orko's homeland of Trolla is a mostly medieval-level society, with little to no native technology, and I think there is some evidence in the show to back this up. There were at least two times when Orko traveled to Eternia's ancient past when there was no technology, and both times his magic worked pretty much flawlessly, and Orko himself noted his magic seemed stronger. Of course, when Montork returned to Eternia to capture Azrog, his magic worked fine, but it could be that he learned how to adapt to a more technically advanced world if chasing renegade wizards to other worlds is something he does regularly. But hey, just a theory.

With the announcement that the series is getting relaunched in October, I've been rewatching the old series on Youtube and remembered the video game that came out called Chaotic Shadow Warriors. I got the DS version and enjoyed it, but I wish that it let you go through the game and be able to use all the tribes and attacks once you complete the four campaigns instead of locking it behind pvp.

I can't remember the name or the actors in it, but I do remember the plot. A woman (I think she was a lawyer or something) goes to her hometown for the holidays and hits her head, dreaming of what her life would've been like if she hadn't left. The company she works for is trying to buy the old inn and tear it down, but she discovers that the house was partly owned by Edgar Allen Poe (I'm pretty sure, but I could be wrong, but I know it was some historical figure), meaning the house is a historical landmark and can't be demolished. I remember watching it in high school, so it would've been early to mid 2010s if that helps.

EDIT: Got the title, the movie was Holidaze, came out in 2013, and it was Mark Twain, not Edgar Allan Poe.

I had an idea to do a Team Sky playthrough of Pokémon Unbound, one of my favorite fan games, but I need help picking my starter. The game lets you pick between Larvitar, Beldum, and Gible for your starter, and I know Larvitar is off the table (which it's probably the worst starter to pick in Unbound anyway), but that still leaves Beldum and Gible. I think they're both allowed since Beldum and Metang both float above the ground with their in-game battle animations, and Metagross does when it Mega Evolves (which the game gives you access to your starter's mega about halfway through), and Garchomp can be seen flying around in Scarlet/Violet.

This isn't a major rewrite, but I'm curious what you all think. In Super Samurai, Deker is revealed to have survived his duel with Jayden since Uramasa took the brunt of the final attack, but what if someone new took his place? In this theoretical scenario, Dayu and Deker conceived a son before making the deal with Serrator, and the unborn child was also affected by Serrator's curse, making them half-Nighlok like his parents. After being born, Xandred forces Dayu to get rid of the newborn, refusing to put up with a screaming infant and ensuring Dayu continues to play her sad melodies, and he grew up in the human world, treated as an outcast searching for answers about his past. He encounters Serrator, who offers him answers in exchange for his help, thinking they can serve Deker's intended role, but they are met by Dayu, who reveals the truth. Events play out, Serrator giving Deker's son a repaired Uramasa, but he turns on Serrator like Deker did, telling Serrator that his hatred is of the Nighlok that destroyed his family, not humanity. He then thanks Jayden for ending his father's suffering before leaving, becoming an occasional ally of the Rangers, helping in the final battle against Xandred. After the final battle, he ponders what to do since both his parents are gone, and Jayden and Ji offer to let him stay at the Shiba house.
