Why the focus on Emberguard (failed crusade) instead of Verdigris (successful crusade) ?

I find it pretty strange how GW built up this whole narrative around the two crusades, one succeeded, one failed, and yet all we ever hear about is the city that failed, Embergard.

Whether it's the 2027 General's Handbook, Underworlds, or even Spearhead, the entire narrative focus is on Aqshy and Embergard. Meanwhile there's basically zero mention or follow-up on Verdigris, the city that actually succeeded.

Was this the plan from the start, or did GW pivot because they found Embergard made for better lore/game material? And with the 5th edition rumors floating around, I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever get more info on Verdigris at all.

Why the support for the German football team ?

I've lived in Lebanon for 10 years, and there's one thing that has always intrigued me: why are so many Lebanese such passionate supporters of the German and Brazilian national football teams?

Brazil, I can somewhat understand. With the millions of people of Lebanese descent living there, and their regular connections with Lebanon, it's easy to imagine how support for Brazil was passed on over the years.

But Germany? Lebanon has relatively few historical or cultural ties with Germany, and the Lebanese diaspora there is quite small compared to places like Brazil. Even some Germans I've spoken to seem puzzled by how popular their national team is in Lebanon.

So yes, I know it's become a tradition, but why? Why Germany specifically and not another country such as Canada, for example?

Is there a social, historical, or cultural reason behind this phenomenon, or is it simply something relatively random that, over the decades, turned into a trend and was passed down from one generation to the next? I'd be very interested to hear any insights.

GPU 9070 blocking SATA entry on B550M?

I'm currently installing an ASUS Radeon 9070 XT on a Gigabyte B550M DS3H motherboard. The problem is that the GPU is quite long, and the rear end of the card extends directly over the SATA ports 3 and 4. As a result, I only have two SATA ports that remain easily accessible.

My questions are:

Is this normal ?

Is it safe to bend the SATA cables make them fit underneath the card? Is it even possible ?

Are there ultra-flat SATA cables designed for situations like this?

I've attached an image to illustrate the issue.

Any advice from people with a similar setup would be greatly appreciated!

Warhammer World is still hosting big Warcry events.

To everyone who thinks GW has completely abandoned the game, keep in mind that Warhammer World is still hosting major Warcry tournaments, and they sell out every single time.

There’s an important thing to understand: just because GW isn't releasing new boxes right now doesn't mean they've abandoned the game internally.

Spearhead has cannibalized a lot of the players who were looking for a fast-paced game set in the Age of Sigmar universe. Given Spearhead's financial success, and the fact that GW tends to follow where the money is, it makes perfect sense for them to slow down support for Warcry while accelerating support for Spearhead. It's probably no coincidence that so many Warcry warbands are now finding their way into Spearhead.

That said, I'm convinced GW knows Warcry remains extremely popular. My guess is that they're simply waiting for Spearhead's popularity to cool off a bit; which every trend eventually does; before announcing a new edition of Warcry.

Obviously that's just my opinion, but I would be genuinely surprised if we don't see a Warcry V3 at some point during Age of Sigmar's V5 cycle.

Upgrading my PC. Need advices

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to upgrade my PC for upcoming games, as it's starting to struggle quite a bit with newer titles.

My current setup:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060

RAM: 16 GB

Monitor: LG Ultrawide 2560x1080, 60 Hz

I have the opportunity to buy an ASUS Prime Radeon RX 9070 OC 16GB at a discounted price through a contact.

My goal is to be able to play upcoming games such as Fable and The Witcher 4 at the highest possible settings. I'm not planning to upgrade my monitor anytime soon, and 1080p/2560x1080 gaming is perfectly fine for me.

I have a few questions:

What would be considered a fair price for a RX 9070?

Is the RX 9070 a good choice if I want to keep my system relevant for the next 3–4 years?

Would my Ryzen 7 3700X become a bottleneck with this GPU?

Should I upgrade to 32 GB of RAM?

If a CPU upgrade is recommended, what would be the best option while staying on the AM4 platform?

Is there any reason to upgrade my motherboard, or can I keep my current one?

Thanks in advance for any advice! I'm trying to find the best value upgrade path without replacing my entire PC.

New Spearhead Box before new edition ?

Do you think we'll get another Spearhead box similar to City of Ash before V5 launches?

An expansion box like Sand and Bone seems fairly likely, but I'm less sure about something on the scale of City of Ash. I'm wondering whether the success of that box might encourage GW to release a similar one before the next edition. What do you think?

My favorite Stormcasts finally painted !

He''s a personal favorite of mine because Gardus is not a warrior but a healer. He's been reforged not due to his martial prowess but because he stayed for his patient when chaos hit his hospital.

Question about spray nozzles

I mainly use Army Painter spray cans now. Unfortunately, from time to time, the spray nozzle gets clogged. I wanted to swap the nozzle from my Citadel spray cans onto the Army Painter ones, but they don’t seem to be the same size/format.

Does anyone know the name or type of nozzle used on Army Painter spray cans? Thanks!

SOULBOUND reviving Warcry !

The latest expansion for the roleplaying game set in the Age of Sigmar universe, Soulbound, focuses on the Bloodwind region, and more specifically on Carngrad. The book is packed with references to all the Warcry v1 warbands, along with tons of additional information.

I really get the impression that the teams at Cubicle7 , with the support of GW, have fully immersed themselves in Warcry lore and are exploring it in even greater depth.

Could Soulbound be the future of Warcry? At least from a lore perspective, it certainly seems that way, and I can’t wait to get my hands on this book.

PS : The Bloodwind map is part of the goodies made available in the futur expansion

Cities of Sigmar units going to Legend

We know that there will be 66 reference cards with the new BT. But do we know if any units are going to Legend ? Did they confirmed that somewhere ?

Why is City of Ash so amazing ?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this, because I genuinely feel like the City of Ash box has generated more hype than almost any other AoS release in recent years.

In my local community, pretty much everyone loves the box, and even from a sales perspective it feels like it’s doing incredibly well. It honestly feels like GW stumbled onto something special here, but I can’t quite put my finger on what exactly makes it hit differently.

Do you think the AoS V5 launch box next year should take inspiration from City of Ash in terms of design, content, or overall vibe?
