I’m looking for an experienced picture framer

Hi! I’m looking for an experienced picture framer or skilled woodworker who has specifically worked with antique art glass framing.

The work has actually been done, but I need someone who can come over and put a couple more mirror clips on it and then help me hang it. The work that was done is incredible. The person who did it is a true woodworker and I really appreciate what he did. I just really would like this to be done.

Please only reach out if you have real experience framing antique or delicate pieces, and can share photos of past projects plus references if possible.

I’m happy to send photos privately through PM and/or text for anyone seriously interested.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!

I’m hoping someone can help decipher this from my Meiji or possinly Taisho period vase

I have this beautiful antique vase that I got it from an auction a year ago. They had no info on the mark, but they don’t really ever have info and they just sell antiques. I think I once posted somewhere about this, but I don’t remember getting much help. Here are some photos. I’m sorry about the amount of them and that I used flash like that but I thought it might help. It is so hard to get a good picture of it and I’ve never experienced anything like that. Also, yes I do know the vase is broken lol. Please, any help whatsoever would be beyond appreciated because at this point I don’t know where else to go. Thank you.

I’m hoping someone can help decipher this from my Meiji or possinly Taisho period vase

So before I start, I want to mention that I posted this once before quite a while ago, but I now have more photos and I’m hoping to see if I can get more help. Also, from that post and a few others elsewhere, people we came to the conclusion that is likely a bronze Meiji or Taisho vase, but that’s not really why I’m here.

I bought this beautiful antique vase at an auction about a year ago. The auction house had no information on the mark, though they usually just sell antiques without much research attached. I’ve tried posting about it before, but I never really got much help identifying it or learning more about it.

I’m sorry for the amount of photos and the heavy flash. It’s incredibly difficult to photograph properly and honestly unlike anything I’ve dealt with before. Also yes, I know the vase is broken lol.

Any help at all with the mark or anything else would genuinely mean a lot to me at this point. Thank you.

Is there flint that universally works for most vintage/antique lighters?

I'm pretty confused when it comes to flint. I see all different brands. I know some people prefer flint from brands that went out of business long ago. I'm imagining that there's different sizes but I could be totally wrong.
It's there any brands, kits, etc that work for most old lighters. i.e., Champ, Ronson, Nimrod, just a whole bunch of random other ones.

I asked somebody about this before, but I’ve really got a clear answer. If anyone can help me that would be great. Thank you all so much.

I made a post similar to this a few months ago, but wanted to try again.

Hi! I’m looking for an experienced picture framer or skilled woodworker who has specifically worked with antique art/glass framing.

I have two relatively large pieces of antique glass art that I’d like professionally framed using my own quarter sawn white oak. I’m hoping to find someone who does quality work without completely breaking the bank.

Please only reach out if you have real experience framing antique or delicate pieces, and can share photos of past projects plus references if possible.

I’m happy to send photos privately through PM and/or text for anyone seriously interested.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!
