I know you guys aren’t some alien race, and I’m sure I’ve interacted with more gay guys in my life than I realize.

But as I get older I also notice that I have had no gay friends, and really no connection or insight into your world.

So basically I’m just reaching out and looking for advice for maybe where I can go, or how I can go about explicitly meeting guys to broaden my horizons and just get a better variety of people in my life!

Edit: not in a bad way, I’m not explicitly looking for gay friends, I don’t care about your sexuality to be my friend lol, I just wanna help become a more well-rounded person so I’d like to connect with more gay people just overall.

I feel like Reddits constantly saying one thing, but reacting a different way on this topic.

On one hand every time someone asks a question maybe about some ideal, opinion or preference they are met with the response of “oh everyone’s different, you just do you, we aren’t a monolith”.

But when someone voices their “different” experience that actually knee-jerk reaction is “you’re lying, that didn’t happen, downvote, you must be X,Y,Z instead of A,B,C,”

Juts kinda wondering what you guys feel about this?

Like I said, just looking to talk to some new people… I’m kinda into everything a little bit, pretty open book too! If you had to peg me as anything I guess just former jock that’s a little on the goofy side!

What’s up?! I don’t think I’ve hung out with or even talked to nearly as many gay guys as I probably should’ve by this time in my life!
