Glow up activities/service recommendations in NYC

Hi! I just turned 30 and am finally starting to pay attention to my physical appearance. I'm starting to experience first hand how I'm treated better when dressed well and also more respected at work when I'm put together? I also feel more confident when I'm dressed better but somehow I feel I still miss that 'polished' look I see the women in Amsterdam have.

I'm visiting NYC in October from Netherlands and would love your recommendations on activities in NYC for a glow up. I already have Lily's Color Lab on my list but was wondering if you have recommendations on any other activities, services or stores I can shop at? Stuff like a good bra fitting or body analysis (saw Lily's Color lab has that one, has anyone tried it?)

For some background, I'm a WOC and petite so would prefer recommendations a bit tailored services/activities that experience with WOC/diverse people.

Also would love any recommendations on must buy items while in USA/NYC!

Edit: My budget would be around 1k for all services combined. But can spend a bit extra apart from this for clothes

Turning 30 and still don't know how to get rid of my CCs/acne..

Turning 30 this week and wanted to look good for my birthday (and after that of course) but can’t seem to get rid of my acne no matter what… had clear skin till about 2 years back and then suddenly these pimples started to pop up and they don’t go away no matter what I’ve tried. Went to the dermatologist and they have no clue what is causing it and prescribed benzoyl peroxide but that didnt work. Benzoyl peroxide, retinol, Aha, bha, salicylic acid, de la cruz sulphur treatment I’ve tried it all. I even tried to pop it all last year (pic 4 and 5) but then it became inflamed and scarred and they came back. Last pic is how my skin used to be :/

Any idea what this could be and how to clear my skin again? I’m at my wits end.

Edit: my routine is Anua heartleaf pore cleanser + embryolisse lait sensitive cream moisturiser + la roche posay tinted sunscreen.

Does anyone know about this new construction in Mijdrecht?

Was looking for new construction and came across this project Matchpoint Mijdrecht. The sales started in Jan 2026 but houses are still available which is surprising since these projects usually sell out like hotcakes. Was thinking about applying but not sure what the catch is, does anyone know about the Makelaars or the construction partners involved? Looked them up but they seem to have decent reviews.

Also if anyone has suggestions on a good new construction project or a good location to buy an existing house, please feel free to share. Am open to any area in and surrounding Utrecht. Maarssen, Woerden, Uithoorn, anything. Have been looking for a house for over a year now but with my limited budget and preferences its been tough (am looking for anything less than 550-600k but after 1990)

I'm about to turn 30 and I've never been promoted at any of my jobs. What career advice do you wish you had when you were 30?

Background: Engineer with a Master's degree. I've always had good to great performance reviews and a strong part of that is I'm reliable, dependable, get the job done. I want to grow further but it feels like I'm missing a piece of the puzzle and I'm not part of the club that is involved in important discussions or gets promoted.

I know climbing the corporate ladder might not be worth the stress but I don't want to stay stagnant and I do want to increase my salary while maintaining my health and work life balance.
