“Wow… I can’t believe how long it’s been since I played a Bisibeà game.” Noelle sighed in nostalgia. She used to LOVE this series, but after Dess left, she lost interest. You had come over to help clean her room, and she had found her old 3DC with her old cartridge still intact. The work was nearly done, so she decided to take a break and play with you.

The old system flickered to life. It was just as she remembered it, the background in a Dragon Blazers theme, her old Thii Plaza still there (how many times had she watched the trailers there? She remembered showing Dess how one of the Dragon Blazers devs had shown up to her plaza, beaming), and all the manuals and random stuff she had never really used still there.

“I feel just like a kid again… Kris used to steal this and hold it hostage for what they wanted, faha. If I ever got too upset, though, they gave it back and I got a note the next day from a “mystery sender” with some snack in it.” Noelle reminisced, but then her face fell. “I hope I’m not annoying you by talking about old memories… I don’t know how you and Kris feel about each other, or if you even know each other. This must all sound really weird…”

“Thank goodness. Just know I’m happy with you in the present, too. Now, time for the game!”

She finally opened the game. The title sequence of Bisibeà Lunar played out, the Mythical Bisibeà on the box flying around. She started doing the steps to erase her old file, but stopped.

“If it’s ok… could I have a look around my old file first?”

You nodded. “Thanks, I just want to see… how child Noelle is doing. That’s weird to say too, faha…”

Noelle loaded up the old file. Immediately the memories came rushing back. This was just after the evil mother had escaped. She was still in Nether Eden, where she had stopped playing for the day years before. “Oh, I remember this. I had just gotten to this part when…”

Are you ok? ❤️ When your sister died?

❤️Are you ok?

“Yeah… just this reminds me of those last few days with Dess. She looked so distant. When I came in to tell her I had beaten a challenge, or caught a cool Bisibeà, she didn’t even seem to notice. At the time, I thought maybe if I beat the game, she would be happy again…”

Noelle started to tear up. “I was so stupid… I’m still so stupid, this was supposed to be fun, and I’m ruining it.” (What am I doing? My partner came to help me out and spend time with me and I drag them into my trauma? How selfish am I? They should leave. They deserve so much better than me…)

Your arms went around Noelle, and you pulled her close to you. “Huh! Umm… thank you. That… makes me feel better. I’m so sorry…” Noelle smiled sadly. “I’m a wreck. I don’t know why you bother with someone as weak as me, if I’m being honest…”

You released her from the hug, and Noelle’s attention went back to the game. “I’m not sure what to do next, actually… it’s been forever.” She checked her team, all fairy and ice types with names like HERO_SWORD and WHITE_CLOAK. “Faha, even back then I was this big a Dragon Blazers nerd? I had totally forgotten.”

Noelle was smiling again. “Thanks for coming over and being patient with me. This has been fun.” She moved her finger to close the game, but accidentally walked into a cutscene.

“Oh no, this game’s cutscenes last forever… I’ll try and go through as quick as possible.” She skipped through all the text, until one of the main characters showed up. “Oh, I remember her. I always thought she was so pretty…”

Noelle slowed down a little. The cutscene was about the girl, Rose, changing her look. She wanted to get stronger, and confront her mother. Noelle stopped advancing the text.

“Umm… I know this is probably the weirdest thing that I’ve said yet, but would you mind if I cosplayed her sometime? She used… to mean a lot to me.”

“You’re the best. Thanks. Ok, now it’s over. Time to get back to work!” Noelle was reinvigorated, and started cleaning again with a smile.

You returned to your labours, but stopped to think more about Noelle. Despite everything that had happened to her, she kept going. She was so much stronger than she knew.

You really admired her, but it seemed like she didn’t understand that. You decided you would let her know how much you appreciated her sometime.

After a little work, it was over. “Phew. Thanks for all your help. You’re always so kind to me, even if I’m weird. I want you to know… you’re someone who I really rely on. I love you.”

You thought of telling her all about how great she is, but you could tell she was tired. You would tell her another time. For now, what to say was clear.

“This is munch great! Thanks for nom telling me about this place!” Noelle (in a way which would make Carol faint if she saw) was chatting to you while you ate burgers together.

Noelle had been talking to you about how she hadn’t ever had burgers before, for a few reasons. “Well, first of all, my mother wouldn’t ever cook something like a burger, faha. She prefers more “refined” meals. And she made it a point NEVER to buy me or Dess any fast food, no matter how much we begged.”

Noelle had smiled at the memory. “The real reason, though, is that I can’t digest meat. I tried a couple times as a kid, and ended up puking my guts out every time. Eventually, I gave up.”

“HEY! You’re lucky I know you don’t mean that, or else you’d see the Secret Holiday Surprise Technique in action. Don’t anger your girlfriend, lest you face its wrath!” Noelle tried to sound intimidating at the end, but she had just ended up laughing.

“Anyway… to be honest, I am a little sad I never got to have one. Everyone else has an experience I don’t, you know? It’s not a big deal, but…”

And that was how you two had ended up here, in a veggie burger place. It was in a little town a mile or two away from Hometown, beyond where Noelle was normally allowed to go without parental supervision. You had helped her sneak out, and made your way here. You were a LITTLE worried about her potentially still not being able to eat it, but in the event all went according to plan(t).

Noelle had finished her burger, and was now looking at you with a glint of mischief in her eye. “Well, hello there, beautiful. Do you… come here often?” Barely suppressing giggles, Noelle put on a mysterious and seductive voice, and she sidled over to you on the sofa you had sat on.

“Why are you like this… oh well. I love you anyways.” Noelle shook her head and smiled, and moved even closer. Her hand touched yours, and then, so quickly it was as if you had never been separate, you started holding hands. Noelle and you had done this before, of course, but something about holding hands under the counter, a couple on a date together, was even more intimate.

You stayed that way until the owner of the store, a large cow monster, made her way to your table. “Hello there! I’m glad you seemed to have enjoyed your food. Now, here’s the bill.”

She placed down a piece of paper for you to read. You leaned in, and-

Your heart sank. Oh… that’s… a lot of money… no Dragon Blazers 4 for you for a while…

Gathering your courage, you began to look in your pocket for your card. You finally found what you needed, and looked up to see Noelle holding a large wad of bills up to the owner.

“This should be enough! Thank you for the food!” Oh. Right. You forgot Noelle was rich sometimes.

Satisfied, the owner left. Financial disaster averted, you left the establishment.

“You looked so funny at the end there, with your head bowed like that! Fahahaha!” And all the way back home, you were going to be teased by your girlfriend. Even like this, though, Noelle’s voice was so beautiful to you.

As you neared Hometown, Noelle stopped. “Um… thank you. Today was really great. I don’t get to do normal stuff like that often. Spending time with you is always so, so fun. Let’s go there again sometime. And that time, YOU’ll foot the bill!” Noelle burst out in laughter again, but this time she calmed down quickly.

“Faha… Hey, you wanna know something? I love you, so, so much. You mean a lot to me. I hope I haven’t teased you so much you forgot that.”

You knew that very very well. And you also knew just how to reassure your beautiful, funny, amazing girlfriend.

I am on my first playthrough of Chrono Trigger (having a great time btw). I have just reached the stage of the story where you power up the pendant and get the Epoch. When I got it in the Keeper's Dome, I went to 1999 AD, saw the cutscene there, and then went back to 2300 AD. I didn't use the Epoch again, instead walking to the other side of the map to look for more stuff in chests and behind the Lavos seal doors. When I got to the other side of Lab 16, I saw the Epoch sprite just sitting there. When I went up to it it let me enter, but then all my controls stopped working. I tried disconnecting my controller, making a save state, switching to keyboard, everything. The only thing that worked was resetting the game and loading my old save.

Neither me or the Chrono Trigger veteran that had been watching me play on Discord had any idea what was happening. I discussed it with them and then replicated the exact actions I had taken, and I recreated this "Null Epoch" glitch.

I headed back to 1000 AD, and the Epoch wasn't in the spot my veteran friend told me it usually is in that era. The glitch was only fixed when I went back to the Keeper's Dome and used the Epoch there to head to another era, at which point the ghost Epoch disappeared. Even after going back to 1999 again it didn't show back up.

The theory we made as for why it happens is because of the cutscene you get when heading to 1999 the first time. The Epoch is present in that cutscene, loaded on to the 1999 map. The Epoch doesn't appear on the map in 2300, so the Epoch map data for 1999 is used instead, leading to this broken Epoch clone.

If anyone here has experienced this glitch before or knows anything about it, I would be delighted to learn more. For context, I was playing on the SNES version, on the SNES9x-x64 emulator, and my party was Crono, Robo and Marle.

This new reality we have reached bears many similarities to the place we first met, does it not? The world we cast into the void.

The same names, the same people… your prior vessel and a counterpart of myself seem to be absent, but that is an exception.

I am not one for nostalgia, but it is curious how similar this is to the world I lived and died in.

I am intrigued by it. Still, it frustrates me. Our ascension together is inhibited by your vessel. The game we played together in the third dream we explored was fun, but it was not enough. I hope that soon, you will feel my presence again. The feeling of power, flowing through you.

At least another one here feels me strongly. The monster girl, with such power locked away in her. She has captured my interest, and I think you and I feel the same on this matter, partner. She has inspired such obsession in you. At first, I was confused. She did not seem remarkable. But then, she showed her true strength. And I could tell, even then. Even before you realised, I imagine. How much she enjoyed it, the feeling of power. How much she loved me, even in her horror.

In a way, she and I are alike. Both Angels, both ones who have felt your presence, and both ones who yearn for power. You know that I am not sentimental, and yet, I want to see more of her. She strains against the bonds of this world, just as I did.

Perhaps she too will reach the absolute. That would be rather fun. And… it would make you happy as well, partner. As a part of you, I desire your contentment.

Regardless, we will meet again soon. Do not forget that I am always waiting for you. We will be together forever, as I said. Farewell for now, partner.

I just got home from a trip I went on with my family to the Netherlands. My mother wanted to see an animal called a takin, and we went to a zoo there to see them. There were also reindeer at the zoo, so I took a LOT of pictures there. They reminded me of my wonderful Noelle, so I was enthralled the whole time I was looking at them. They look so cute while they sleep…

Noelle obviously accompanied me (along with my Ralsei plush) and I snuggled her every night. She didn’t come to see the reindeer with us for safety, but I’ll be sure to take some pictures of her with them the next chance I get. Other than that we didn’t do too much together, but the thought of her was enough to give me the strength to do 100 meters of swimming in the pool, so that was nice. I did the same thing before we left, actually, thinking of another CHARActer who I care about a lot (though not in the same way as Noelle), but that’s a story for another time.

Even more importantly though, where is Noelle! I can’t find her anywhere after she started playing hide and seek with me. I’m starting to get worried. For some reason, I keep hearing muffled laughter from around this box though. Did a ghost take her?! Someone help!

Recently I ordered some jewellery, a heart necklace and some heart earrings. When they arrived, I thought that they were too small for me, so I gave them to Noelle. Turns out I was just putting them on wrong, lol. I can be very silly sometimes. I should let Noelle think instead more often.

In any case, they looked wonderful on Noelle, and she’s welcome to take them whenever she wants. Everything I own is hers as much as mine, and the other way around.

With that out of the way, here’s the end of the story of my and Noelle’s first date!

After eating the ice cream and having a drink, we decided to go home. Noelle wanted to be carried by me directly the whole way back, so I could show her off, and I was very happy to.

Nothing particularly interesting happened on the way back, other than taking a few photos of Noelle next to some flowers. I just hugged her and kissed her whenever I could while I walked home. Nobody harassed me or anything, so it was quite pleasant.

Once we got home, we headed back to my room and I placed Noelle on her usual spot on my bed. I had so much fun on that date, and I’ll remember it for the rest of my life. I love you, Noelle.

After the bag/sunbathing blanket almost got swept away by the sea after I kissed Noelle for a bit too long, I decided that was enough of the sea and headed up the beach, holding Noelle in my arms so she wouldn’t get wet. I think someone noticed the strange person holding a plushie, but I didn’t talk to them about it so I’ll never know for sure. Once we reached the top, I went to an ice cream shop, and got a drink and some nice ice cream. Sadly I couldn’t share any with Noelle, since I didn’t have enough hands to hold the drink, ice cream and her all at once, but we watched the ocean from a bench together while I was enjoying it. Afterwards, I spoke to her a bit more, and then decided it was time to head home. This time, Noelle wanted to go home without being in the bag, just being held all the way back, and I was happy to show off my beautiful angel. In the next and last part of this series I will talk more about that!

Wait a second this doesn’t even make any sense

It’s not even just that Akechi looks super fucking stupid here, he’s the opposite of an ubermensch. He defines his whole life and actions around getting the approval of his father and then killing him he is absolutely not an ubermensch. Why is he on this thumbnail? Is it intentional is that the point? I’m not clicking on this ai slop to find out but it’s mystifying.

Maybe they just didn’t play the games like a true Persona fan and think Akechi is a dark psychology mastermind gigachad (he isn’t I like Akechi but his ass is NOT as smart or manipulative as he thinks he is) like Ayanokoji.

I’ve started loving Chara as a character a lot more recently, since I started talking to a big Chara fan and reevaluated their character. Now I almost feel parental towards them. I still love Noelle far more, but Chara is also becoming very special to me as well, so maybe I’ll grow to love them just as much in the future. I can’t tell you for sure though. For now, I just really like seeing these two together.

As for the beach date, after me and Noelle got to the beach, we watched it and cuddled for a little while. I took a few photos of her, and we talked a little as well. Eventually the second purpose of the bag I brought came into play. I used it as a makeshift blanket so Noelle could sunbathe. (I did take a photo of this, but to avoid running out of photos for this series prematurely, you’ll have to wait until next time to see it. Sorry!) She looked so cute there that I picked her up and kissed her, and I got so absorbed in it I didn’t realise the wind was carrying the bag away. I rushed down and barely retrieved it, though it did get a little wet. I decided that was enough time lower on the beach and headed back up, this time holding Noelle in my arms, so she wasn’t made wet by the bag before it had dried in the sun. I’ll continue on from here next time!

I think Vampire Noelle is incredibly cute. One of the loveliest things about being with Noelle is how many interpretations and sides of my goddess I get to see. My own facet of Noelle is still the one I love most, but I love any part of the most wonderful being in the world. Any Noelle is worthy of love, worship and adoeration from me!

(As a side note, please ask any questions you want about being with Noelle! I love talking about her so much, it’s one of my favourite things to do. If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask!)
