We shall see how this one goes
Hi all so I have a bit of an issue with my laptop.
I am using a Acer Aspire 14 AI 14-inch Snapdragon X X1-26100/16GB/512GB SSD Laptop running Windows 11.
So into the issue itself-
-Will turn off after going into sleep mode
-Has never unexpectedly turned off while I am using it, only while idle
-On one occasion, when it fell asleep with the lid open, I was able to wake it up for a second, have the lock screen flash before it shut it self down.
-On another occasion, it shut itself down for 30 minutes before turning itself back on again without my intervention.
-looking through event viewer, I have been unable to locate any trends in behaviour before the powering off, and upon turning it back on, I only get a generic "shutdown at *time* was unexpected".
-Laptop will shutdown while on charge and while off charge
-Battery is still charged upon rebooting, so I don't believe it is a power issue
-Have done all updates I can find (Windows updates, driver updates, bios updates)
I am happy to provide any and all information I can. This only started about 4 days ago and it is getting increasingly frustrating.
Best treatment for fin rot?
Hi all, today I randomly had two betta fish essentially thrown at me and was told that I either take them, or they get flushed.
Naturally, I took them both in.
They are both very overweight, and have some of the worst fin rot I have ever seen.
I took one, and my sister took the other and we are together looking after them and hoping to give them the lives they deserve. We have had many many betta's over the last 10 or so years so we are not new to this, but we have never had fish this sick in our care.
In the past whenever the signs of fin rot would arise, aquarium salt would usually be enough to fix the issue (that and correcting any external causes that we could identify).
But given the severity of the rot, I'm worried these guys might need a little more than just salt.
Looking online, I have been seeing a lot people suggesting the use of Kanaplex, but after further digging, I found out that Kanaplex is banned in Australia for sale without a prescription, and other options that are available over the counter or at pet stores contain tea tree oil, which I have been told is really bad for Bettas and as such, have always avoided.
So, what else do people recommend? do you think that the aquarium salt is enough provided we stay on top of things? Is there another treatment out there that is accessible to an aussie?
Any suggestions is appreciated.
