im gonna be using a bank account that is not issued from my country, is this gonna be an issue?

A while ago, I came across someone's post about whether it's okay to use a bank account from a different country than the one they're applying for a visa to, to guarantee how much savings they have. How did you get through this?

Need answers asap 🥲 thanks!

anyone who’s gone abroad for their uni and now back in indo feeling… empty?

Hey everyone,

I did my master’s abroad and genuinely thought I’d be building my life there. The plan was to find a job that would sponsor my work visa and eventually settle down. But reality turned out to be a lot harsher than I expected.
I’ve been applying to jobs overseas from Jakarta for months now, and it’s just been rejection after rejection. I’m at a point where I honestly feel stuck and a little hopeless.

Coming back to Jkt has also been a difficult adjustment. I went from living in a fast-paced, global city with so many opportunities (especially in tech and finance) to being back home, unemployed, spending my days job hunting, and potentially dealing with Jakarta’s traffic. It’s been a pretty lonely experience, and I feel like I’ve lost the momentum I had while I was studying.

I’m wondering if anyone here has gone through something similar. Did you also come home after studying abroad and struggle with finding your next step? How did you cope with this phase? Did things eventually work out?

Would really appreciate hearing your stories. I think I just need to know I’m not the only one going through this. 🥺

Not sure what’s causing my hair loss :(

Hi everyone. I’m a 26-year-old female, and over the past 3–4 months I’ve been experiencing much more hair shedding than usual.

At first, I didn’t think much of it, but this month I’ve started noticing that my hair feels significantly thinner. Luckily, my scalp isn’t visibly showing yet, but I’m worried that it could eventually get to that point.

Even when I’m just resting or working at home, I notice a few strands of hair on my pillow, and the shedding is much more noticeable during and after washing my hair.

The biggest lifestyle changes over the past six months have been:

  1. I’ve been unemployed and applying for jobs from home, which has been physically and emotionally stressful.

  2. I spend almost the entire day indoors in an air-conditioned room.

  3. I barely get any sunlight.

  4. I’ve stopped being physically active like I used to be.
My sleep schedule has become very irregular, sometimes sleeping during the day and staying awake at night.

  5. I've been taking **vitamin D3 (4,000 IU daily)** for a while now, but I haven’t noticed any improvement.

Could these lifestyle changes be enough to trigger this kind of hair loss, or should I be looking into other possible causes? Has anyone experienced something similar, and if so, what helped? I’d really appreciate any advice.

my masters at a top 10 world university (QS) felt like a complete cash cow — should i keep pushing for jobs or do a second masters?

my masters degree at a top genuinely need advice from people who’ve been through something similar.

i graduated from a masters program in strategic management at a top 10 university in the world, no. 1 in asia by QS rankings. sounds impressive on paper. in reality it felt like being a beta tester for a program that wasn’t ready to launch.

the program was originally 8 months of intensive coursework. no GMAT/GRE required, no recommendation letters needed. i had a bad feeling about it from the start honestly, when i looked up alumni on linkedin, almost every single one had the open to work banner. but it was my parents’ decision and i went along with it.

the curriculum was underdeveloped. we had a lecturer whose teaching was genuinely concerning, the whole cohort complained repeatedly and she’s still employed there somehow. halfway through, the university announced an optional credit-bearing internship semester (basically a direct response to our complaints) but gave us almost no time to decide whether to take it or graduate immediately. classic “we’re building the plane while flying it” energy.

the prestige of the institution and the quality of the program did not match. at all. it felt like a cash cow disguised as an academic credential.

now here’s where i’m genuinely lost. before the masters i had 2 years as a senior business development analyst at one of asia’s largest tech companies. during the masters i completed 2 finance internships and a consulting project. my undergrad was in international relations.

so on paper i have:

•	commercial BD experience (tech, regional scale)
•	finance exposure
•	consulting exposure
•	a strategic management masters from a highly ranked but poorly executed program

i’m targeting london / the UK job market right now. the AI boom is reshaping every role i’m looking at, sales, GTM, strategy, BD, founder’s associate tracks and i’m not sure where someone with my background actually fits anymore or where it’ll be valued.

my actual questions:

1.	should i keep pushing hard into the london market or is this a lost cause given how brutal UK hiring is right now?
2.	is a second masters worth considering or does it just look like i’m stalling?

i know this post is all over the place but i think that reflects exactly how i’m feeling. any perspective from people who’ve navigated something similar would mean a lot 🥹

Just graduated this year and have been struggled landing jobs in the UK, any advice?

I know my CV/Cover Letter or the way I network aren't really the problem... because I've landed first-stage interviews, 15+ aptitude tests, and referrals... but after reflecting, the hindrance is actually how I articulate and present myself...

Does anyone have any good advice / any tips on how to train my articulation as well as communication / public speaking skills?

The way I always found myself losing breath & couldn't control my nervous system during interviews.... I've been getting feedback on to keep improving this :(

any input / advice would be greatly appreciated! 🥺
