Not renewing after 8 years. First time moving out of an apartment and need advice.
Stars aligned on an opportunity to rent a nice house fell into our lap literally the day before our deadline to submit notice we're not going to renew. Very rushed and I feel like I may not be able to leave this place as polished as I'd like under normal circumstances. I always like to clean my own messes and return stuff in the same condition I received it in.
We have hung 4 TVs and lots of pictures and art. Couple shelves so there's going to be a number of old and new screw holes, but I'm more worried about the things that are falling apart they promised to upgrade for us years ago and never did. I don't want to get the blame for water damage from upstairs unit leaks that caused both bathroom floors to peel for example. Or particle board cabinets coming apart, etc.
We have never once been late on rent or had any kind of problem and we get along with the maintenance guy and the manager lady very well they seem to like us (had us help them run the complex FB page at one point for example) and show us a bit of "long time renter" favoritism...
...but once we sign this notice to vacate they have no reason to treat us like customers anymore.
My question is are they likely to start nitpicking every little nail hole and spot that's worn down after 8y with a small dog? Should I submit like a hundred maintenance requests today about cosmetic type stuff and past updates that were promised but never materialized so it's on record? Like we've passed every inspection every year and they've been in here a lot...I have no illusions of getting our damage deposit back but I just don't want them to dogpile on and try to charge us for a whole bathroom renovation or something.
These buildings are 40+ yo btw
Should I spackle the holes from the pictures and 4 TVs we've mounted? I can do something about the stuff I did...just can't do anything about the damage from past water leaks and the place just generally falling apart.

Was the G.A.T.E. program developing an accelerated Gateway process?
I was in the G.A.T.E. program in the mid 80s in 2nd grade and while I remember nothing nefarious, the testing itself does seem very strange. Guessing which ear the tone would play in next, being asked to see what's on the page that is blocked from my view, all sorts of puzzles and ciphers. The pink drink we swallowed instead of spit like the fluoride rinse.

Looking back I think we received some rushed, incomplete or inadequate "awakening" methods based on The Gateway Tapes and hemisync. We know from CIA memos they were trying to speed the process up and streamline it for wider adoption throughout the agency, and I think that's what we were guinea pigs for.

It's possible we had our consciousness expanded very young and very early and then were left to fend for ourselves without the tools or training to deal with the consequences. They ripped our third eye open and asked us to describe the blinding light...then never bothered to close it for us before sending us off into the night.

Anyone know what these birds are in Hannibal Missouri? Marlin? Nests have numbers so I assume a preservation program?
I took this pic but couldn't get a better one of these guys in flight. So fast and agile. Very cute and talkative little guys :)
