I don't know what happened to Intex but here is my good experience with brand

I purchased Intex 1000 bluetooth speaker from Intex way back in 2022 on sale.

It is 2026 and till today, I don't have any single issue with these bluetooth speakers.

From their original intended use of just playing music from phone at home to today watching series in my pg in gurgaon this speaker has worked without any issues.

My sister's Zebronics one has stopped working but this still works like the day it arrived and has been treated like shit by me.

If these ever break I would be going with Intel again. Will post more images on comment.

I have used them with Fire Stick, play games, and mobile over the years.

Confused between Jockey and XYXX underwears 🩲?

I have been using off brand packs of 4 and 6 from Flipkart (Jicks Ones and Dollar Big Boss) for a while now.

They either last 5-6 months at max or mostly turn out to be uncomfortable.

Looking to dive into branded/premium underwear. Has anyone has gone into this journey and recommend which one is better?

I didn't include Lux as I didn't find them to be comfortable. Purchased one from D-Mart recently.

I am thinking nking of buying trunks.

So XYXX sells odor free cotton trunks 5@999 or 349 Jockey combed cotton elastane ones?

Also off topic- Apparently folks are saying the doctor recommends briefs these days to prevent health issues with 🏀s. Is it true? Or is it boxers or something else?

Has anyone used dual purpose inverter for lead acid and lithium batteries from Electrent?

So, long story short, my luminous UPS died some back and I have been looking into some modern smart home appliances for a while now. I am kinda getting into it so I have been researching modern aesthetically pleasing smart inverter brands and batteries.

To be honest, Geekyranjit's solar charging setup YT video created this bug in me. However, after almost a year of waiting I have done my research I have more and less chosen the tech that I will starting with.

I will be buying ELECTRENT’s 3500/24V power management unit. I accidently discovered the brand during my boss’s house party.

It is support both lithium and tubular batter (I will be going with lithium ones only, I think )
Overall, I am satisfied with what I am seeing, it has the power monitoring, above decent safety features, looks decentish tech like pure sine wave (all the buzzwords are there) and is hybrid so it can switch between solar, battery, and main grid.

However, I don’t want to get into this just on my boss’s and youtuber’s recommendation.

I also need to hear from Reddit as well. XD

Has anyone tried ELECTRENT or have reviews to share?

Also, how has the switching to solar power gone for you?

Are used car-selling brands like Spinny overpriced?

Has anyone seen the latest video by backstagewithmillionaire on how used car startups like Spinny are struggling in India?

They point out how high prices, ethanol (Old cars are not compatible), & low margins are the major issue.

(Not linking YT video here in case mods don't allow it, just wanted to get a discussion going.)

(FYI: I have nothing to do with the channel or these guys just found it interesting.)

Interestingly, they point out how the inventory-led model makes it difficult for these platforms to offer competitive pricing.

Also, brands like Spinny are buying used cars on loans from sellers, which is eating into their margins.

(I didn't even know CarDekho had stopped selling used cars and give up on the segment.)

Their take is that Quikr/OLX-style classifieds are basically the only viable model long-term in India.

I personally agree with the broader point, this is a genuinely tough segment to be in.

A local dealer with limited inventory, support, and scale finds it easy to compete with these guys.

They only buy what'll sell immediately, at select price points, and don't carry the same overhead.

No PF, no employee health insurance, no worrying about footfall across regions, no fixed costs from hiring staff, renting showrooms, or holding thousands of cars in stock.

Comment section on the video was pretty mixed though. XD

I personally lean toward agreeing with the video.

Before anyone come with leave my billion dollar company alone accusation, hear me out

I know people aren't big fans of the AI chatbot support that every xyz brand is offering these days.

However, I like that if something goes wrong with Spinny, TrueValue, Car Dekho, or anyone else I can put up a thread on Reddit, Instagram, X, etc will actually get a response.

Whereas with local dealers, it's all "jaan pehchaan" based if you don't know the local politician or yuva morcha guy personally, good luck getting a callback, refund, or support,

Also, no local dealer is touching a beat-up old car, local dealers know this and a well buy 4-6 year old car or a low-maintenance Honda on the spot.

Whereas Spinny, TrueValue, CarDekho etc want to sell at different price points, so they buy old cars, beat up ones, and price them appropriately.

Brands like Spinny, TrueValue, CarDekho are definitely pricier, but I think the peace of mind makes it worth it in the end. I mean Swiggy and Zomato are overpriced to certain extent (Not counting Zepto with investor money to burn)

Just wanted to see if anyone else the video and what were your thoughts on it?

Also, not being contrarian for the sake of it.

Why Small Cars Failed in india Redditors? An Open Question to Indian Car enthusiasts & Redditors

Photo is of my friend.

Recently, looking at all the entanol blending that's been going on.

I was wondering why did small cars failed in India?

They would have been perfect (more on it later) for this moment that we all are witnessing in India.

Think about it.

Cars are only becoming more and more expensive.

Entry level cars are now almost non existent specially 800cc segment. (people talk about telecom industry becoming a duopoly/oligopoly what about sub 1000cc cars?)

Kwid discontinued

Redigo discontinued

Nano discontinued (will come back to it later)

Santro discontinued

EON discontinued

Now First, why I want Small cars to be successful?

No hate against hatchback, suvs, or any other car type.

I totally believe small cars could be next Splendor or Activa.

I personally can't afford a hatchback to be honest.

Job market is uncertain, given the rising insurance, interest, challan prices, and other similar factors, I have never felt more away from great Indian car buying dream.

However, I do wish I can bring back my mom home from her sudden/untimed temple run during monsoon.

I wish sometimes when its muddy and drainage system failing I don't have to pull my legs in the air, rev the engine, and hope there is no manhole open.

I wish I don't have to always rely on my activa's front leg space to bring all the vegetables from the mandi.

A small car would have been enough for me. It would not have taken me leh ladakh, kasol, Or nainital but would have been enough.

Let's circle back to Nano

Without a doubt Nano setback was a setback to the segment.

Any car manufacturer who would look at that and would never dare to take that kind of a risk.

So much R&D, assembly, manufacturing line setup, relocation from bengal to Gujrat and then ultimately product failed.

Why do I think this is perfect moment for micro cars?

Insurance and taxes are at all time (which has killed the middle class dream)

Heat wave sucks but I would reckon a micro car would be good enough for daily office commute and Indian jams.

Price would be low and something within what most folks reach.

Next is ethanol blending. If you have one activa Or one expensive KTM at home, which one is the one that usually takes the beating? (Case for upper class)

Similarly, I have seen first hand Activa empowering women in India. I have seen them bringing home cylinder (rare sight these days) with their boys, dropping off and picking up kids, and alot more when her husband is at the border.

Small car log kya kahenga dilemma

I remember bringing this conversation up with my friend and showing how there is some EV (that looked sketchy) micro car in India mart.

How I was interested in that particular car. Everyone laughed, heck even my own parents laughed.

I am a hypocrite myself to some degree because although I knew my father couldn't afford it I would still look what's happening in 800cc world. Judged Nano at the time.

Looked at Kwid and Redigo as option to avoid alto toh sub pe hai.

___________________________________________

Here is question to Indian car Redditors.

Where do you see India's small car story moving forward?

Do you think it's over?

Will microcars ever happen here?

Does it make sense rolling back safety and emission standards for small cars?

___________________________________________

I don't if that was rant or ramble but it's something I want off my chest.

What is best second hand car for learner driver right now besides Alto?

If someone is starting out learning car what would be the first starter car for them according to Car India experts?

I was looking at the some of the options available in the car market and there seems to be none.

What I like is usually discontinued like

Kwid is discontinued? Why?

Redigo is discontinued? When and why?

Other cars that are available usually have lot of miles or about to expire.

So, what type of used first cars are folks buying and what range?

Can share what first car did they purchase for learning. It would be interesting if purchase is done within the last 5 years.

Because cars are very expensive these days as a I found out looking at listings in Spinny.

What is great learner car driver option, which is compact has decent features and won't be very expensive.

If anyone from Tata is reading this, please bring back Nano. Sorry Ratan ji we were wrong

OP ne Spinny ke Gurgaon Showroom se car le li Uska Review

Bought July 2025 Scorpio Model at 18 Lakh from Spinny.

saved a lot of money and financed a small portion

Car working good, planning Himachal trip soon. Probably will take it to spiti valley.

Edit:

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words and wishes.

I didn’t expect that it would blow up or get the kind of attention it got.

Thank you again

I financed a portion of the car in this economy so lot keeps going in the mind. You guys helped

So, lot of the folks are asking why not N?

It was mostly the option and condition of the car (Model year + kitni chali) that made me go with this. Plus my friend played a huge role in the decision.

Coming to Spinny, experience was awesome, I loved the staff.

They were cooperative not that pushy or irritating which as an ambivert is a huge plus for me.

Also, my extrovert friend was extremely pushy, judgemntal, and suspicious towards them the entire time which they didn’t seem to mind.

Overall, it is an important milestone, I kept seeing notification go off at the work, so it felt great.

Thank you everyone, who wished well, small things on the internet matters.
