Twitter/X Account Suspension For False Mass Reports Incident (17/06/2026)
Hello,

Yesterday evening (June 16th, 2026) a 9 year old Twitter account of mine was targeted by multiple false reports and was suspended out of twitter. It was takedown due to "inauthentic behaviors" because of a tweet I made criticizing the European Commission's response to the ECI. We (the many people I consulted) think that simply because I don't use twitter and the only activity (besides retweets) was related to the SKG campaign and the tweet (see image) was the top reply at the time of shutdown with about 300+ likes. I intend on pursuing this both administratively and legally on Small Claims Court (Juizado Especial Cível) here in Brazil to recover the account. Some of you might have reservations about Twitter as a platform, however we can all agree that it can be useful to signal boost SKG. Blatant attempts of censorship, especially by false reports, should always be condemned. Even if the EU itself or anyone else really thought my tweet was defamatory (it wasn't) or misleading, they should've went about it using the proper procedures. Let me know in the comments if something similar happened with you related to SKG.

Thanks for reading,

Thomas

INTRODUCING: Fan-Preserved Saturdays (Discussions about Fan-Preservation of Dead Games) + Dead Game Sundays (Discussions about non-recovered Dead Games)
Hello,
While the moderation team of the subreddit don't want to stray too much from Stop Killing Games main goals, we also realize that we should to use our position to highlight preservation of dead media. Therefore, today we are beginning two new initiatives: "Fan-Preserved Saturdays" and "Dead Game Sundays".
On Saturdays we are going to selectively allow two or three posts about ressurection projects of completely dead games (which were not shared or talked about in the previous two months). The low number of accepted posts is so that the Subreddit doesn't get flooded with propaganda submissions. Every friday we are going to create a submission thread for this and select between 2 or 3 submissions to be featured next day on Saturday (which might be posted by the team or by the submitter of the idea, at his request). Feel free to make submissions for this Saturday (May 23th, 2026) on the comments of this post.
On Sundays we are going to encourage posts discussing Dead Games (without a submission limit). Think of this as threads discussion newly released games on r/Games or movies on r/Movies. We want people to delve into their memories playing the Dead Game, story spoilers, how did it feel to play it and so on. While we are not restricting the number of posts of Dead Game Sunday from you, each Sunday the moderators of the subreddit will pick one completely Dead Game on the Wiki to highlight. We are also going to be making sure submitted games from everyone (including us!) cannot be reposted on the next two months (just so we have some variety).
The following is our first "Fan-Preserved Saturdays" and "Dead Game Sundays" submissions:
Our first "Fan-Preserved Saturday" game post will be: "Battlestar Galactica Online" by u/Pizzarium. (Again, feel free to submit suggestions of more fan-preserved games for this first saturday's in the comments below!)
The moderation's first "Dead Game Sunday" highlighted game will be: "Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa" which was originally published by NCsoft. (I personally think this is a fascinating game, I wished I played it!)
(Disclaimer: Please note this is just a community spotlight, not to be considered an endorsement nor condemnation of these games by the Stop Killing Games organization itself.)
Thanks for reading! Feel free to use the comments below to add suggestions or for general feedback of this new idea we had. We are open to all suggestions, including criticism.
Edit: To be clearer, this is not about disallowing posts about games in other days! It's more so to incentivize discussion and show interest in lost media.

Consider this post as a mere pre-hearing discussion thread. Once the hearing starts, we will make a new Megathread post.
The SKG subreddit is now partially restricting AI generated content.
Hello,
After deliberation and receiving some complaints, the moderation team of the r/StopKillingGames/ subreddit decided to restrict Generative AI usage in this subreddit to narrow use cases. As you are very well aware, Stop Killing Games is a consumer rights movement looking into stopping publishers from removing access for what we've already paid for. This subreddit is merely a branch of this movement. Please note that the decision below is neither an endorsement nor condemnation of the usage of AI by the movement itself.
Currently our subreddit DOES NOT have a generative AI problem, as most of the posts seem human made. However, If we continue allowing generative AI text and images, the opposition may start to claim that our movement is inflated by innauthentic content. Also, a lot of the users here are looking for high-quality human made posts and not AI slop. Therefore, it was decided that we should restrict the generative AI usage.
The new rules are:
5. Whenever possible, avoid Generative AI Images in posts. (Only to posts)
> While we don't forbid all possible use cases for AI outright, please avoid using Generative AI Images in posts if possible. If the moderation team think the AI image was too tasteless or needless, it may result into the post being removed. However, one case where we do allow AI is if the AI material being shared was not generated by the OP and outside of their control (e.g. inside a link). This rule only applies to posts, not comments. If you dislike a comment due to AI, downvote it.
6. Whenever possible, avoid having your text written entirely by Generative AI. (Posts + comments)
> The SKG subreddit focuses on human generated content. Posts written entirely by AI are not allowed. Partial and tasteful usage of AI text is allowed, even if not disclosed (e.g. for spellchecking of human text; for a small tl;dr summary of the text). If the moderation team thinks the AI text was too tasteless or needless, it may result into the content being removed. However, one case where we do allow text written completely by AI is AI translation of human text by non-English speakers.
I hope you understand the necessity of these new rules. The comments are of this post will be open for us to get feedback and suggestions. Feel free to agree or disagree with our decision and state the reasons why! We are open to all discussions.
Thank you!
