Why couldn't they appear in MGSV?

Why couldn't they appear in MGSV?

The bosses from Metal Gear, Machinegun Kid, Fire Trooper, Shotmaker, Dirty Duck and Bloody Brad. Wouldn't it have been cool if they were recruitable characters in MGSV and each one could have been an additional Buddy, each covering a different playstyle?

Boone / Legion reputation; both awards?

In my >!Independent New Vegas!< as-close-as-possible-to-100%-completion playthrough, I was hoping to reep the awards of both the Legion Safehouse and getting Boone as a companion, personal quest and all. I can't remember how to do it, though, but I DO recall getting it in an older playthrough. From what I remember, it's practically not possible to get to the safehouse until you get inside the fort and get to key from Lucius, after getting 'Liked' reputation. But once you achieve that high status, is that the final straw for Boone, and he ditches you? Or please remind me, was there an initial warning from him you get only once?

[FNV] The Frontier - installation questions

I have tried the Frontier a year ago, maybe two? I can't remember. It's just that a while back I had to reinstall and remod my game after a nasty factory reset of my PC. From what I've heard, the Frontier on the main nexus page has had updates and fixes out the butt since then.

So now, starting over from scratch, I need updated info on how to install the mod, and what else it requires. I'm pretty sure I got all the initial requirements specified on their page; JOHNNY GUITAR, script extender, etc. I noticed that the main mod page also includes a restoration of Slave Harbor, which was not there when I first tried the mod years ago.

However, from what I remember, the mod also needed its icons restored, and a better map. Or maybe I needed those mods to overwrite some other Icon mods I've been using, again, can't remember. So are those two moods needed with the current version?

On the same subject, is the current version of the mod compatible with these two mods? One I like because it DOES fix lore inconsistencies and I appresciate the Scav disguise and Bounties quest tweak. The other, I guess I'm curious about the cut content.

Finally, last few questions that might be obvious, but again, factory reset, I've been out of practice for a while. When it comes to the load order, is it best to place the Frontier high or low?

[FNV] Autumn Leaves - before I start . . .

This Mod

I have finally been persuaded to try this mod after too much time of shelving it. However, I noticed this mod also comes with extra mini-mods called "Uncreative" Edition, some tweaks mods and probably a few others that supposedly fix bugs or something. So besides the main file I linked, are there any additional stuff I should download for this mod to improve the experience? I have no way of knowing if those 'tweaks' and bug fixing mods for Autumn Leaves aren't outdated.

[FNV] DLC improving mods?

I made a similar post recently because again, I had to factory reset my PC, and therefore mod from scratch. I'm now more than ever open to new experiences and ideas. So I'm looking for any mods that improve vanilla DLC's.
EDIT: Only for New Vegas, though. I'm not using TTW.

I already picked up a few that improve the difficulty in Dead Money, some interior overhauls in Old World Blues, improved Joshua's appearance in Honest Hearts, quality of life improvements, but I could do more.

So yeah, open to suggestions; what are some mods that improve DLC's, aesthetically, gameplay-wise, canon, world building or more?

[FNV] Looking for new lore-friendly Quest/Adventures mods

Recently, I had to factory reset my PC and I am now modding New Vegas from scratch. Perfect excuse to try some new adventure mods I never got around trying. I'm familiar with the classics like New California, Frontier and the Someguy series, and I think I've seen everything there is to see to those mods. I'm set on trying out Dry Wells and Long 15 this time, but I'm wondering about some others that might have been overlooked.

What are some that you've tried and would highly recommend? In my search for patches and new mods, I ran across stuff like Zion Trails, The North Road, or The Depths of Depravity, none of which I ever tried and wonder if I should. But I figure there's gotta be more that became popular recently.

[FNV] xEdit - I fear no mod. But that 'tool? . . . . . It scares me.

I am one of the worst lowlifes of this community - a loser who never could make heads or tails of xEdit. Now, I'm visiting sites like Viva New Vegas or YouTube guides to try and make sense of it, at least enough to learn how to make patches in the collection of mods I hoped to use. What the worst that can happen? I could break my game, and I'd have to reset everything? Asking stupid questions on Discord groups is bound to anger many, but now I have to risk it. Because I'm positive there's no patch between some of the mods I like, and I have to make them myself.

Wish me luck.

[FNV] Hitman-mod-integrated Texture mods?

You know those animation mods made by the impeccable hitman47101? (Here are some examples) They are one of my personal all-time must-have's, BUT, now that I'm modding from scratch after a nasty PC factory reset, I'm considering some texture mods that make certain drugs, medicine and food items look less glossy.

So are there any texture item mods that are proven to be compatible with hitman's animation mods? Do they even need compatibility patches? I heard that some of his weapon animation mods didn't always work well with weapon retexture mods so I want to be certain.

Remake - what's exactly the problem?

There are some that say the remake is at best, not worth it if you have the original already, and at worst, a "pervertion of what didn't need fixing", among some other colorful descriptions I've heard.

Like everyone else in the world who plays video games and isn't a contrarian desperate for attention, I LOVE the original RE4, but I haven't tried the remake yet. And I'm wondering if some of the criticism I've heard is legitemate criticism, or just some tribalistic false sense of integrity? So my questions are,

  1. Does the remake cut any content out?
  2. Biggest problem with remakes FOR ME, is usually they try to make everything more serious. And the charm of the original is that it did have a bit of a B movie theme that fully embraced it. From the way characters talk to how nobody questions the nonsensical logic behind the villain's evil plan. Is the remake unnecessarily changing any character personalities or tone of the story to make it more realistic?
  3. Is there a sense that this remake is made by people who actually played and loved the original RE4? There aren't any moments that feel like it's trying to be smug and self-aware about how different things were in the older days?
  4. I heard that the remake does add new content so that there is a sense you're not just buying the exact same game again, but is this content at least engaging? It isn't just grinding side quests or something?

[FNV] Current best player home mods?

I was definetly spoiled by the ever so popular Underground Hideout, because I've been using it for years, but I'm curious if there are any alternatives? One of THE best things about that mod is that it had unlockable decorations based on quests completed, which I always really loved. I like to go back to a player home when I can decorate it with my past accomplishments to remind me what great adventures I had. Unfortunately, the mod (to my knowledge) recieved no further updates since 2011, and I've been wondering if there are any new player homes who might have been inspired by UH.

So what are some other popular player home mods out there? I'm not quite yet at the point of installing TTW, but maybe if there is a cool player home uitilising it, I might be motivated to get there quicker.

Best platforms for Extra/Background work in London

Becoming an actor for a main cast role is hard enough (verging on 'pointless'), so in the manwhile, I need to update my info now that I just moved to London. What are some of the most recommended sites and agencies for consistent extra work? So far, I've explored Backstage (where a frustrating number of people never narrow down their productions by age, location, type, etc.) and Casting Collective where I now await my profile being aprooved. I'll take any info I can, if only so that my parents stop calling me and we end every conversation with dejected goodbyes.

Mid-Epilogue now. Almost finished.

The time I posted this unedited was about 1 month ago. And it's a 100% I'm overall proud of. Every stolen hat, every missable collectible, MOST of the unique camp interractions and dialogue, almost every unique random encounter . . . . .
