I got rainbow steel utensils and I love them!

I needed some new utensils and decided to get some in rainbow steel. I’ve made jewelry with it before and thought it would be perfect for me! Plus it comes in handy to distinguish my utensils from my roommates’.

Looking for recommendations

Hello fellow horror fans! I’m looking for more books to read and I need some recommendations. I’m looking for horror and horror/scifi recommendations, excluding the authors Stephen King, Jack Ketchum, and Cormac McCarthy, as I’ve already read their stuff. Thanks!

The bee-apocalypse has descended upon my parents’ garden (and I added music)

My parents have two gardens and a hive in their back garden. The bees are very happy and have lots of flowers and fruits to pollinate. The other day they were randomly swarming in the front garden. Do any bee experts know why they do this? The hive is fine so there wasn’t any distress or conflict to cause them to do so.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple plot point question

Being a mental health professional, there was a certain part of 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple that I’ve been a little knit-picky about.

So, Dr. Kelson manages to find treatment of sorts for the infected, which he tests on Samson. From what I recall, he makes a cocktail of anti psychotic medications that gives to Samson. They don’t go into a lot of detail but they only show pills.

Here’s my issue: all forms of psychotropic medications are temporary and have to be taken consistently in order for them to be effective, even injections. Injections last longer, but they eventually will wear off. This fact isn’t brought up in the movie.

So was this fact done on purpose for the story? Is the cure/treatment only supposed to be temporary for right now (assuming no more medication can be made)? Or was this a writing error and treatment/cure is permanent? I have to assume that the writers and creative minds involved did their research and knew that such medications are temporary, which I think would make for a very interesting development in the story.

What do y’all think? I haven’t really seen this specific part of the story brought up and I’d love to know what everyone thinks about it.

[SPOILER] Hokum is awesome!

So I just saw Hokum and I loved it! I enjoyed the themes of guilt and grief that were woven in. Also the blend of supernatural and non supernatural mystery and villains. I love the fact that the witch was evil but not the main antagonist.

One subtle point that I liked was Fiona saving Ohm twice. Not only did she save him from a suicide attempt, but we also hear her voice call out to Fergal to alert him to where Ohm was when the hotel was burning. There wasn’t a lot of focus on that part but I liked it.
