Today my home was finally connected to the fiber network. Starlink has served me very well for 6 years. I work from home and need Internet access so I downgraded my Starlink plan to standby mode and will keep it as a backup. The plan description says unlimited low speed data. Just how fast is this data?

I’ve had 50% on my windshield (Tesla Model 3) for a few years. I like it but I don’t think the balance of privacy vs viability is that great. It’s still clear enough that it does not provide much privacy and it’s dark enough there are some very minor night visibility issues.

I am considering going to 35%. For those who have done this, how much of a difference is there when it comes to night visibility?

There are a couple flock cameras nearby that are in very odd locations. I find it hard to believe that the county put them there. Is there a way to find out who is managing the camera?

I know tuners can generate some significant power from the turbo 4 cly. Out of curiosity, would a 200 mph Cayman S be achievable? If so, about what would it take to get there?

How good is drift mode on the new RS3, will it allow you to get pretty crazy like the BMW xdrive M3s drift setting will or does it still keep you fairly limited?

My Tesla Model 3 Performance has drift mode but you’re still very limited on what you can actually do. For example, it will only allow you to break traction if you’re already moving and have the steering wheel turned past a certain degree. Burnouts (not that I’d want to do them), donuts in a tight space etc are simply not possible.

This is out of curiosity, but what kind of mods would be needed to push a Y8 RS3 past the 200 mph barrier?

I cannot seem to keep the app connected to Schwab. It disconnects about every hour or two. Unless this can be fixed, I don’t see any reason to keep the service. Is there a solution?

I’m a long time Tesla owner and I’m in the market for another EV. I will probably stay with Tesla but the Taycan has caught my eye. I am one who tends to keep cars long term and I don’t trade them in when they go out of warranty. About what does a battery replacement costs, out of warranty, on a Taycan? I have tried to use Google, but I cannot find this information anywhere.

A couple years ago I did replace the battery (due to damage) in a Tesla Model 3 Performance. The total bill was a little over $12k.

I like a very firm mattress so a little over 3 years ago I purchased an Amerisleep AS1 king mattress. It was great for a long time, but I noticed that the side I sleep on had become much softer than the other side.

I flipped the mattress around a couple months ago and was hoping that staying off that side would cause the foam to firm back up but that has not happened. Is there a way to restore the firmness or do foam mattresses simply become permanently softer over time?

I’m going to have the windshield retinted to a different shade on one of my Tesla Model 3s. How hard is it to remove windshield tint? I considered pulling it off myself to save time and money but maybe it’s not a good idea?

I bought my first drone (DJI Phantom 3) back in early 2016. I remember around the time of 2015-17 drones were all the rage. I can remember seeing many of them flying around my area, they were frequently featured in local news stories, they were all over social media, there were several popular YouTube channels devoted to them etc. However, then it seemed like it all went away and I never saw/heard about them anymore. Other than mine, I don’t think I’ve seen another drone in the air in years. I occasionally check the “drone scanner” app but I’ve never seen anything on it. About when did the popularity of hobbyists drones steeply decline, I’m guessing around 2018 in the USA?
