Self Assessment, do I need to declare crypto income & CGT on amounts under allowance?

Hi,

I am doing a self assessment for regular income anyway. Last year I declared crypto income from staking just to keep records right even though I owed no tax and everything was under allowance.

This year, I have more income from staking (under allowance), a CGT loss and a gain - which if I deduct the loss from gain i’ve only gained about £100. This is also under the allowance. The amounts in loss / gain was under £1000.

Should I continue to declare the staking income just to keep records right and also declare those losses / gains so they know what I’ve done for the year, regardless of if being under allowance?

I’ve only done a tax return last year and this year. Neither has been over any allowance / owed tax. But I’m just trying to keep records clear for them / me.

I’ve read some people say to others that they ‘should’ just to hold the record and others say not to because HMRC will just get picky for no reason. I wondered what others thought of my situation.

If I went in for reduced movements what happens? I have toddler, no child care.

Hi,

I am 33w+6d pregnant. I am a STM and SAHM for my 2 year old. My baby was head down since 30 weeks, but feels like it’s dropped down my pelvis in the last 2 days. Since then I can rarely feel her moving unless i have my hand on my bump and am lying down. It’s mostly just some very light squirming and a sort of roll last night. I don’t know if to call it reduced movement, because there definitely is.. it’s just changed from bigger kicks.

The problem I have is that I have a toddler and he doesn’t cope waiting in hospital well. Usually my husband would come and take him walks etc. but if it’s just me, he’ll be screaming the place down once snacks are gone.

When I had him, I was asked to stay for heart beat test for about 2 hours that resulted in induction.
I don’t see how I can get these tests done with my toddler. Unless it’s just a quick scan.

Currently waiting to be seen in triage.

28 weeks - Baby at 7th Percentile Growth Scan

Hi,

I just wondered if I could hear from anyone with similar experiences and how it turned out?

This is my second pregnancy. My first, I got a growth scan at 38 weeks because he fell from 90th - 10th on fundal height. At the growth scan they thought he was about 5/7th and potentially had some tension in the cord. We tried an induction that went to C-section after getting to 10cm dilation because his head was in the wrong position. He came out a healthy 7lbs.

So with this one, they wanted growth scans all the way through. This is the first one and they think she is 7th percentile. They aren’t automatically concerned because my firstborn was born 7th percentile. They imagine if they scanned him at 28 weeks he may have always been 7th and that fundal height wasn’t accurate.

But I am fearful that these are still big ifs. My first did have restrictions in the cord. At least in fundal height he did a big drop at 38 weeks. My second is only 7th percentile at 28 weeks and if she does a drop then it’s really not good.

I won’t know until we get the next scan in 3 weeks if she’s tracking on 7th or if she is having issues.

How has this went with others?

Are you recommended vaginal birth / induction / C-section?

Were you allowed to go to 39+ weeks?

Baby #2, Flange Size - inserts or specific size flange?

Hi,

I am preparing for baby #2 and wondering about what to do about flange this time around.

I obviously found it easier to buy specific size flanges as it’s less to clean all in one, but would it be better to get a generic 24mm and buy packs of inserts?

There is some sales with prime on I could buy, but I’m only 27 weeks and know my size may change later.

I thought I very slightly changed once during my last journey, but no idea if they will be useful this time.

Hi,

I’m just wondering if there is any particular reason bitcoin and others following have had as big a jump recently?

It seems usually whenever something bad came out of Iran war news / trump the market would dump or pump if it’s good. But now it feels unaffected as we have increasing tensions and fall outs and the price has been upwards or steady.

I understand the clarity act is getting sorted, but with the economic and political backdrop, I didn’t think it would have as much of an effect.

Is there any other good news I’m missing for this small pump?

My parents are thinking to buy the cozy coupe for my child’s second birthday. It’s obviously quite bulky and can probably live in the garden.

I know they used to be popular, does anyone have them and find they last for a while, kids love it or don’t care?
