What hours are you at work?
I work from 8am to 4pm Sunday to Thursday.
This might just be my first world problem. But I don't think I have worked a job where I worked a solid 8 hour day in a long time. Usually I finish everything in the first 3 hours or before lunch time. The rest of the time I have to pretend to look like I am working to not get fired. But I find it so dull it's hard to make the day go by faster. It's not like I can't watch Netflix, play a video game, or browse the web at most places as they frown on that. I just wish I could go home early when I am done with all my work. Anyone else struggling with pretending to look busy most of the day at work?
As someone who hates working, the only thing that keeps me happy is the fact I just have work and goes home to peace and quiet. I'm glad I don't have to come home and take care of kids which feels like a second job.
I am currently working a dead end minimum wage security guard job and I am thinking about going to college. I have managed to save up enough money while living with parents that I am looking to go to a community college so maybe I can get a bachelor's degree for something different. I want to know if going to college helped you out so I don't waste my money.
I am 32 male working a dead end minimum wage slavery security guard job and I want out to make more money. The only way I am surviving is I am currently living with my parents at the moment saving up as much money as I can despite being on minimum wage. The problem is that it feels impossible to get a higher paying job or to switch jobs these days as I get rejected a lot. I've applied to McDonalds, Walmart, Target, etc and even these places don't want to hire me. I feel unemployable and stuck at my current job even if I meet some of their requirements. Being a job hopper just feels impossible right now. I would like to know, if you managed to get out of minimum wage slavery, what did you do that helped you escape?
I don't know what it is lately. I am 32 male but recently I have been getting up a lot to go pee at or around 3am quite some time. Before I could sleep in till 5am before I need to wake up and use the restroom. I try not to wake up before 5am to go pee. Now it seems like most days I've been doing this. Even if I drink a little or no water at night. Anyone else experiencing getting up multiple times a night like this to use the bathroom?
One of my biggest work pet peeves is once you get your work done early you are still stuck there for a number of hours pretending to look busy. I wish I could just go home early, use my electronic devices for personal uses, or something to make the day go by faster. But sitting at work pretending to look busy is just pure torture.
If I had a work from home job I would not have to put up with that charade of "looking busy". When I am done I could go watch Netlfix or play video games as long as the work is done.
For me, I was around 14 when someone told me that they liked me. I didn't go out with them because I thought their flirting was bullying and was not interested in her.
But what about you, when did someone first fall in love with you?
Looking for some offline games where you start off dirt poor and you eventually have millions or even billions to spend on things.
Stardew Valley is a excellent example of this that I like.
I also want the game to have a lot of expensive items, decorations, properties, and things you can actually buy once you amassed great wealth.
Bonus if the game runs well on Steam Deck.
