I did that brain fart thing and threw rice and water into my Instant Pot without the pot liner! The water and rice went into the electrical mechanism at the bottom. There was no added salt in the water.

I inverted the IP, scooped out rice, and let water drain. Using a Torx T15, I removed the bottom plate. I think I did one tap water rinse through. A distilled water rinse would have been best. Used a vacuum cleaner edge tool to vacuum rice out over the next 2-3 days. Let it dry, shake, gently tap the sides (otherwise the sides will dent), vacuum, repeat. I also tightened a few Phillips screw based electrical connections.

I left it unplugged to dry out over about 10 days. You don’t want to energize any circuit until it’s fully dry. Now, it’s making beans again.

I got an eye-opening sardine, canned seafood collection from someone moving from SF to Berlin.

I was hesitant, but my favorites are Gulf of Maine Conservas Farm Raised Smoked American Eel (USA) and the Grilled Catch Riga Smoked Sprats (Latvia). Least favorite is the Rizzoli Anchovy Paste (Italy) due to high bone content and perhaps my lack of cooking experience with anchovies.
