Is there another dumbphone community some of you are a part of?

Long time observer and the community had helped me get a Qin F21 which I'm forever grateful for.

I still visit from time to time to see what might be the latest, dumb phone, news, interesting community, developments, and apps being created, and just to see how people are enjoying their own journey.

Unfortunately, it's really hard to find a lot of this now given that EDC photos seem to take over most of the feed, as well as photos of people showing off their eBay/thrift shop bulk buys. I know u/jbriones95 has tried to find a good solution for everything, but some posts now just feel like a show rather than actually contributing meaningfully to the community.

So, I'm wondering if anyone has found another dumbphone sub that might be a better place to seek some of these things I used to come here more often for?

Are there reliable seed banks in the US for non-hybridized landrace?

I am just curious because it appears some I've read up on are scammy, others are white label, and still others are hybridized rather than pretty pure.

Advice on humidity/temp probe placement + kPa / Temp / Humidity [week 5 of flower]

Couple of Qs:

  1. Just curious if this probe is looking okay for where it is or if I should place it elsewhere for the most accurate readings?
  2. My temp has been around 74º in the day, getting up to 54% RH, and around 1.39 kPa. At night right now it's 72º, 51% RH, and about 1.31 kPa. My lung room is 40% RH and always around 70º. I'm super scared of budrot but don't know what else to really do. I have the inline fan to kick on when RH gets to 49% and when temp gets to 76º.

Any advice from you veteran growers would be much appreciated!

Just did my first defoliation and have a few questions

First time grower with three plants, and just did my first defoliation on day 25 of flowering (was unable to find a good block of time to do it on day 21 through 24).

I had already defoliated the right side a fair bit before taking the photo, so the first, second, third and fourth photos show left side defoliation.

1. How did I do? I think there's more to still take off, but I had to get back to things so this is what I could do.

2. Do I need to wait until day 40 or so to go back in there and defoliate more or can I trim the fan leaf here and there?

3. The last photos show a stem that I accidentally super cropped (I think). I didn't want to move other sugar leaves to confirm or fear it would cause it to fully break. Should I see if it bounces back or chop the stem?

4. Anything else at this point I should do/consider?

Thank you all so much – it's been great being here and getting a ton of support and seeing everyone else with their grows!

I can't tell... is this purple or brown? (23 days into flower, due for trimming)

Just trying to identify if there may be a problem and for the life of me I can't tell which color it is.

I'm also overdue by a couple of days for trimming, so if it is a problem with nutrients or light, I want to wait until everything bounces back before cutting away right?

Thank you!

Looking for specific video

I know it was uploaded to YouTube within the past month, but I can't find it. I know they also had a deviant art account, but I forgot to save it! It starts out with two brothers shrunk in the backyard and before they get eaten by an ant, their mom saves them only to store them in a jar. She ends up accidentally eating them later on. Any help in tracking this video would be great!

Day 16 of flower - am I ok to trim some fan leaves?

Just curious because I've read most people do pruning at 21 and 40. These are photos, my first grow, and I did some heavy bottom third pruning on these before flipping.

Help :/ Ended up with 3 plants in a tiny tent and don't know which to cull

I definitely know I should only have 1, maybe 2 tops plants in here. The third one was supposed to go to someone else but they bailed.

So like some first time growers, I planted a few seeds thinking one or two might die. In fact, all three kept growing healthily in the two aerogardens I have. I did LST and defoliated the bottom third of all of them plus fan leaves right before flip, but they're getting wild again.

I'm now week 2 into flowering in a tiny 32"W x 18"D x 28"H tent. I got this tent because it's exactly the dimensions I could work with in a corner of my place.

Right side: Carbon filter and inline fan are tucked in the back right leading straight up to the vent, other vent port (poorly designed) is bottom right. Next to that is a tiny dehumidifier which has been pulling its weight.

Left & Top: 100W LED up top with maybe 3 inches between it and the ceiling, and then a 4" non-oscillating fan in the front left.

The dilemma:

I had asked a friend if he wanted one and he was initially committed but then said he couldn't. Any other friends I've asked don't own their own home so worry they could be kicked out of their apartment.

I am thinking I'll probably need to cull one of these plants to save space, minimize odor, and reduce humidity further. I just don't know which one because they all look like they're healthily fully going female (feminized bellbottom nitro seeds from Holy City Farms).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Help with cable routing

I have an oddly shaped tent because it's what works for my current situation. It is 30"W x 18'D x 28"H. Unfortunately, the tent doesn't have any in-line cable management like the popular brands.

I originally thought of routing the cable through my lower vent where I have ducting, but after trying it, the wires block some of the the intake on the 4 inch ducting plus it makes it much more difficult to bend the ducting because some of the wires run much shorter than others.

Has anyone come across a similar issue? What is the best and safest solution since my understanding is you shouldn't wrap a bunch of electrical cables together as some generate heat?

100W lights I've been using are on sale for Prime Day

In case anyone is interested, they're the MetryGrow 100W (like $68 each right now). First time grower but it's been doing me well so far with the veg and flower settings and 16/8 12/12. You can connect these to wifi to get more control, but I haven't yet. Plus I guess daisy-chaining, but I'm in a little 2x2! Thought I'd share just in case anyone is looking for a light and isn't going big with their grow.

First time grower about to make some additions and changes – any advice would be appreciated!

Entering week 4 now! Just topped the main one (both are photoperiods) and going to do the following in this tiny 24"x24"x16" tent:

  • lst like crazy
  • add a 100w light above
  • run an inline fan and filter
    • not sure if both should be outside the tent or if one can at least be inside; I live in an apartment complex so whatever will minimize the odor the best?
  • cut down the air pump tubing lol
  • also figure out a better way to cover up the entry point of the tube -- it's too wide for the small trellis holes :/
  • either will move the smaller friend in the back to its own pot or let it be a mini

What do you all see that I should consider (besides a bigger tent next time lol)?

Anyone have a 2x2 grow tent? If so, what's your setup look like?

I only have the space right now for a 2x2 tent, and am trying to wrap my head around having the plant, a light, and ventilation all in this tight space :/

This one got a little funky... will it self-correct?

First time AG grower on week two now, and I have three CBD bellbottom nitros going (I'm going to move the other two in the next day, don't worry!).

This one in the photo had started off as the strongest in terms of sprouting, height, and healthy roots but its seed shell stayed on over the leaves until just a few days ago -- I was too worried of hurting it to pull the shell off. Anyways, this is how the first set of leaves started. Is this pretty normal with that shell condition? The leaves definitely did not get that iconic appearance!

New to Aero Growing - Have Some Qs

Hey all -

Excited to do my first batch. I have some photo and some auto seeds on the way. In the meantime, I'm planning on using this that I've had around the house: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B6BB4TVC

It's 24W and only raises up to 14.5" though, so I know I'll need to eventually buy a stronger light and detach the existing one.

I wanted to ask a few questions I didn't see in the aeroweed guide:

- Do I start my light down as close as possible and move up as they start to get close to the light, or just go ahead and be at max height already?

- Is it fine to just follow the product's nutrient schedule and use their included nutrients? I feel like I read some people have done that here with success, but wanted to check

- Is it fine to... put a small box or something else around / over my hydrogarden? Even at 24W it's crazy bright for my 1-bed apartment.

- Along those lines, how are those of you living in tight quarters handling your growth? I don't have the room in this place to build a full, dedicated box :/

Thanks in advance!
