Need some getaway recommendations

My partner and I want to get away for a few nights somewhere at the end of September but we’ve never really had a proper holiday before! We’ve visited Cornwall multiple times as we use to live there so we’d like to do something that’s a bit different: somewhere with lots of good walks and woodlands, nice pubs, cafes and restaurants, and easily accessible with public transport as neither of us drive. Bonus points for any animal related attractions. We’re currently based in Somerset. Cheers!

Millipede General Queries

Finally decided to get a millipede! I currently own isopods so I'm pretty familiar with the kind of care they'll need but I've got a few queries:

  1. I love my pods but I want something that I can interact with a little more. Been thinking of getting a giant african but I don't think I can accommodate the tank size needed, so anyone got any recommendation for something a little smaller for a 10 gallon tank or less?

  2. Is it recommended to get just one millipede or multiple especially if it's a larger species?

  3. What's the best method or heating, heat mat or bulb?

  4. Any lighting needed? The place where there tank would be is fairly dark so I would like to be able to see them but if it's really not recommended I won't bother

Hey everyone!
I currently work in a pet shop and have always had pets growing up, but I moved into a flat with my partner a year ago and I’m really missing having the company. So… I was wondering whether anyone had any recommendations for specific pets? Have a few in mind but I need some more inspiration. I’m currently trying to breed a colony of isopods but would love something a bit more interactive (even though they’re cute)

Specifications:
• Live in a small flat in England that gets really cold in the winter and very hot in the summer
• Able to make room for reasonable sized enclosure but nothing too big
• Work 5 days a week 9-5:30
• Don’t go away for long periods of time
• Have a friend who can “pet sit” if needed
• No spiders allowed (sadly)
• Nothing aquatic
• Big fan of all things creepy crawly
