2800 mile Journey

2800 mile Journey

I have driven x country many times but doing it in a bus with a top speed of 55mph is a different experience. I did extensive preperation and still broke down twice, and was in the shop on two seperate occasions. I met some lovely people and ultimately if I never had had any problems ( and victories ) would seeing the pacific ocean been as sweet? I don't think so.

7.3l idi ( 81k miles )

Allison at545 ( with a cooler, fan and synth fluid )

Issue 1) Starter solonoid large lug nut became loose and upon startup would fry my ignition cylander..took me a while to figure that one out in the heat of memphis.

Issue2) Gut told me to pull over...on grade in the middle of mojave desert, noticed I had JUST blown a cooler line...dumping fluid but since it just happened the block stayed cool...wow I felt lucky!

Blew some shocks, and a calliper got stuck. All can be fixed. Feelin grateful we made it! Safe travels yall

Where do people go swimming around here?

Any common swimming holes around here or up north a bit? New here and just looking to appreciate the water. Thanks

What keeps you going?

Hi all,

First time posting here. I have been a carpenter for 10 years. I've had the opportunity to work all over the country and on some remarkable peojects I feel lucky to have been a part of. Worked with alot of great people and felt like I have been able to give back what I can to the people coming up. But I just feel like my heart is not in it anymore. It feels like at this stage in my career that things are popping off that I would be excited, but I am not feeling that way. Has anyone felt that way before even when things were good? I have taken small breaks before but this time feels different.

Thanks

Pebble the Bus

Hello,

Thought id post and introduce myself. I was in a civic, and then an astro for 6 years. Got my bus a year ago( standing up is the best) I got it to a stable point to head back west and rest before I work on it more.

Just wanted to say hi and safe travels
