Let’s talk diaper bags!

FTM here: are diaper bags really necessary? And if so, is there one that you guys really like or have your eye on? I’ve always been the type of person to match my purse to my outfit, so I’m just wondering if I just get a really big purse would that suffice? But I also like the idea of having a devoted diaper bag just because of the organization and the fact that some of them like the Beis one, have a fold out changing pad on them! Plus, if I get something like that one, my husband can easily just take it with him if need be without carrying around one of my purses, lol

Bassinets and Strollers

Hi, first time mom here! I feel like there are 1 million options for everything when it comes to babies and I’m feeling a little bit overwhelmed, especially in the stroller and bassinet department. If this is your second, third, or higher baby, what do you recommend? What did you like and dislike? Budget isn’t really an issue, but if I am going to spend well over $1000 on something, I’m gonna need a lot of proof that it’s worth it😂 TIA!

Pregnancy exercise

Hi! I’m looking for some good creators to follow on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc. that make/made pregnancy safe exercise content. I would like the workouts to be able to be done at home if possible, but I also can go to the gym sometimes as well. I prefer Pilates type exercises but I’m open to anything!

NIPT testing?

So this is my first pregnancy and my doctor wants us to do the NIPT testing. To me doing it kind of sounds like a no-brainer, but I’ve also been seeing a lot of people recently that are opting out of it. However, I could never find an explanation as to why people are deciding not to do it. This post has no ill intention. It’s literally just pure curiosity- if you are not doing the NIPT testing, why?

First ultrasound was today!

I’m measuring 8 weeks and 2 days. Which technically puts my due date in March so now I’m not sure if I should be part of this group or not but I really like it here so hopefully you guys will allow me to stay😂😂😂 Doc said the baby looks healthy, and the only weird thing we noticed was that it seems to be slightly off to the side of my uterus, but she said that wouldn’t or shouldn’t be a problem. I’m feeling quite relieved!

Something similar to The Lovely Bones?

One of the first books I ever read that actually DEVASTATED me was the Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, and I’ve been chasing that high ever since. What books would you recommend that are similar in both devastation and thrill? I want a thriller/drama/horror book.

Should I tell my family?

So I just found out I’m pregnant at 11 DPO which would put me at 3w and 5 days today if I calculated correctly. In 3 weeks we have a family vacation up north that we’ve had planned for over a year, and at that point I’ll be 6 weeks. I wanted to wait until after a first doctors appointment to tell anyone, but my OBGYN won’t see me until 8 weeks. Also, on this trip I know some waterpark activities, hottubs and cocktails would be in the cards so it would be hard to hide this from them. It’s just my mom, stepdad, brother and nephew (who is 13). What do yall think?

Is there a line?

I’m 11 days DPO and this is my first cycle trying so I’m not sure if this is a line or if I’m just seeing things.

I’ve been a lash tech for 6+ years. I like to consider myself pretty well-versed in all things lashes, but I’m at a bit of a loss so I thought I’d come here. I have one client whose retention is just awful. We’re talking one week in, and her lashes are just wrecked. There’s no evidence of picking/pulling, and I’ve talked to her about at home care as well as had her give me a list of what skincare products and cleansers she uses. Nothing notable there, either. I’ve tried cleansing her lashes prior to fills, bonders, and different glues. She doesn’t work with chemicals or cleaning supplies and she has a desk job. She is my only client that has this issues out of my 50+ clients I see regularly. Anyone have any thoughts?
