What’s the second best thing to come out of menopause?

Am 56 and have been having the worst symptoms. I identify with every negative thing mentioned on this sub. makes me feel seen and not alone. I do want to see something positive though. other than not having periods, is there anything else that’s good about menopause? Anything?

When will Zayn get hitched?

truly, I worry like his mother might now that Harry, Niall and Louis all have steady girlfriends, heck Harry is even engaged.

Alcohol effects

I could have checked all the flairs. Mostly I find that if I have even a glass of wine, the next day I wake up with dry vagina and achy toes. Been crying and highly emotional for a few years now. Got mirena in 2023. Bloated up and put on 30 pounds since then. Am 56. Depressed. Fat. Angry. Achy. Fatigued and fed up. My PCP did not recommend HRT. Will push for it at the next appointment.

The penny dropped!

Why companies see 'no need' for cover letters anymore.

Cover letters have become less valuable to employers as more candidates use generative AI to draft them. "They can be so easily tailored or crafted to match the role," Bonnie Dilber, senior manager of talent acquisition at Zapier, told Business Insider. Now, McKinsey tells applicants there's "no need" for cover letters anymore, Google has also abandoned the practice, and Amazon refuses to accept them at all. In turn, the "objective" section atop a resume has become more critical. Cisco's Scott McGuckin says, "We find this approach significantly more effective."

Spotlight - the movie

If you haven't seen Spotlight, you must watch it today. It's an amazing movie that I did not even know existed until I was just browsing on Youtube and saw that Michael Keaton was in it. So I started to watch it and was instantly hooked. It is so well directed, the actors are amazing, no hamming, based on true events. I have already watched it twice in two days! Here's a link - enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPZhUM8VlpQ&t=3113s
