should i take this opportunity or should i get out?

posting here cuz maybe veterans can help me out with this decision lol. Im an 22m e3 in the USAF whos stationed far from home, making around 35k with normal pay and BAS, (no bah yet i live in the dorms), i now have a 2 choices

  1. get out of the military and go to college using my gi bill, although i still have no clue what i wanna do, which is the whole reason i joined
  2. i got my BOP to a base which is nearly 35-40 min commute from my parents house, receive a high BAH, still BAS as well, and base pay, but id save all of it since my parents dont want me to pay them rent, so really id just be paying for car insurance and gas, id be making around 72kish estimated.

id prefer to get out but honestly due to having more freedom with facial hair regs, but theres nothing waiting for me in the civilian world, jobs are hard to get, and i dont have any "connections", staying in and transferring bases sounds like the move to me, but id like to hear your opinions as well. any advice is appreciated

Edit: ive been doing ASU online pursuing a BA in business, havent had to touch the gi bill at all yet

how to reduce allergies from a standing/portable fan?

my house doesn't have an AC unit so the only way to keep ourselves cool are portable fans, we live in california so this is fine since the heat doesnt get to crazy, but every morning i wake up after having slept with the fan on i have a stuffy/runny nose and itchy/watery eyes, how can i solve this without turning off the fan?

Best AFSCs to retrain into that will set you up after you get out?

Been weather (1w051) for a few years, i would need at least a bachelors in meteorology to even get a job as a civilian and even then most organizations hire people with a masters in this field anyways and the pay is dogshit so i will not be pursuing weather once i get out.

i would like to stay in for a while though and my retraining window is open, I’m curious as to what AFSCs i could try and retrain into that would set me up for success on the outside world, the most common answers I’ve heard are contracting, finance, and everything cyber, but id like to know all of them, just to have more options

Adams bridge, a natural connection between India and Sri Lanka was destroyed by a Cyclone in the year 1480 A.D., how is this possible?

how is it possible for a weather feature to destroy a natural land mass such as this bridge? doesn't sound possible but thats what I have been reading online

What if you took a newborn baby from 3000, 20,000, and 70,000 years ago and raised them in the current era, would there be a discernible difference between them and us?

in terms of behaviour, brain, intellect, and physically, biologically, etc.

what about neanderthals and disnovians?

How many nerf bullets would it take to kill an average man?

The man is 5'9, 170 ibs, he has only shorts on. How many nerf bullets to completely kill the man? How long would it take? You can use any nerf gun.

its been 3 years today since my best friend has cutoff all contact, and i still think about him and am not sure what to do

My best friend from 7th grade to the 12th, we were very good friends, i always did notice he had some down days where he just didnt talk to many people or talk at all, he was also a pretty quiet and did not really tell me and my other friends if he was going through any issues or problems, but i always let him know that i would be there for him if need be, a month after graduadting high school, he completely cutoff all contact with me and our group of friends, his last text was completely normal, we were just talking about dragon ball z, and then he logged off pretty normally, as in it didnt end off in an argument or any conflict, and then we NEVER heard from him again.

for the first couple of weeks we thought he was just taking a break from discord, and then 2 months later we were trying to contact him in every way we could, he deleted discord, instagram, twitter, and wouldnt reply to any phone calls or texts, we even sent him a letter through mail and nothing ever happened with that either, another month after that i went to air force BMT in which i didnt have my phone for 2 months, when i got my phone back he still was gone, after that we could only hope he was ok, several months later when i finished tech school and came back home after half a year, i was banking on going to his house to ask if he was ok, but my friends told me not to because that would be interupting his privacy, i kind of agreed with them and didnt go, so i tried taking my mind off of him for as long as i could.

another year later, ive been in the operational air force for almost 2 years, i still thought about him often, but not as much, none of my friends really brought him up anymore, he was like a ghost essentially, but we still didnt know if was even alive, let alone ok, i could only hope he was. i took leave a few months later again and decided to visit his house myself, i had to know if he was ok, i knocked on his door and met his mom, who barely remembered me, but in short i explained who i was to her son and what had happened, all she said was that he was ok and that hes in college now, nothing more, i was heavily relieved, and i left pretty much after that, i didnt want to interupt his privacy and ask his mom too many questions, he was alive and well, which is all that mattered.

today it has been 3 years since he last interacted with me or any of my friends, i dont know how hes doing now, and i want to go back to his home to ask this time a more indepth question, and hopefully tell his family whats been going so i can hopefully gain some knowledge into why he cutoff contact with all of us, even if he decided to permanently cut us off and make new friends, i still want to at least know why, because sometimes i cant stop thinking about it, was it something i said? or maybe something i did to him? i just dont know. I hope hes doing well in life and continues doing so, that is all.

People who make over 100k, what do you do?

A lot of posts i see mention their salary being quite a bit over 100k. Im 21 and im barely making 36k so im just curious what how yall got into these careerfields and how your experience was doing so.

im in the air force as a weather forecaster for those of you that might be curious. Im not sure what im going to do after my 4 year contract ends.

edit:  i have my CCAF in meteorology and halfway done with my bachelors in business, but im still not sure on what to do after i get out of the military
