Reset to a default

The other day we got a new 2026 C-HR for my wife. When we got home I've changed a few settings on the car. Nothing major, just changed the interior lighting color, added a few radio stations into favorites, changed a speed warning from 1 mph over to 5 mph over etc.

I got into the car the next day and all those settings were back at default - interior light back to badge (I've changed it to red), no favorite radio stations that I've saved.

What happened? Was it some kind of an update (over the air?) that resets everything?

Fast charging on Tesla chargers

Just got our first EV (C-HR). Please explain me like I'm a 5 year old - how to charge on Tesla Supercharger?

How do I pay for it? Is it easier to download a Tesla app and do it that way? I'm trying to avoid downloading Toyota app due to issues with 12v battery draining.

If using Tesla app (or any other way), would you please take me step-by-step through the paying process?

Thank you.

Which charger?

Just got a new C-HR for wife. Our first EV after years of driving Toyota hybrids.

The plan is to use the included level 2 charger and see how it goes with that (see my other post about that). Than maybe get an aftermarket charger, especially if I get an EV as well.

So, the question is - which charger to get? Which one is a good combo of price and quality? Any particular place (website, store) where to get them?

Thanks.

Which wire for a charger?

Just got a new C-HR (wife's car) and need to install a socket for a charger in our garage. Planning on using a level 2 charger that comes with the vehicle so I'll need a 240 socket installed.

The electrician will do the job since I have no clue how to do it and thats not something you want to check on YouTube. However, I want to over-build it just in case I want to get an aftermarket level 2 charger later on.

What wire gauge I need for the job?

C-HR level 2 charger

I believe a new 2026 C-HR comes with both level 1 and level 2 chargers.

Is level 2 charger (that comes with the car) as good as an aftermarket level 2 charger? Does it charge the same way, the same speed? Do you have to plug it into a 240 socket (like a dryer socket) or can you hardwire it to the panel?

Thanks.

C-hr July incentives

Does anyone knows July incentives for c-hr (and BZ)?

For June they have 0% financing for 72 months and some cash back for leasing. That sounds good and I don't want to miss it. But also....what's coming up in July?

Thanks.

Charging cables difference

I've got a new charging cable for my galaxy s25 ultra. It's usb-c to usb-c cable. It will only charge my phone to 78% overnight. It will charge my wife's Iphone 17 regularly to 100% overnight.

When plugged in it will say Super Fast Charging on my phone but it will stop at 78%. Some other cables will charge it to 100% using the same block (Anker 45w fast charger).

Anyone have any idea why? How would I know which cable will charge my s25 ultra to 100% ?

What is a good Toyota EV lease deal?

In about 2 weeks my wife and I will go test drive both BZ XLE plus FWD and C-HR SE, for her daily commuter. Plan is to lease it for 3 years to see how we both like it before purchasing an EV (never had EV, driving hybrid now).

What would be a decent deal on a 3-year lease on either vehicle? No money down, either 15k or 18k miles.

We have excellent credit history and built rapport with the dealership (purchased several Toyotas from them). The dealership is in Virginia, in the area that does not appreciate EV's and electric vehicles are not selling well there (if that is of any importance).

We never leased a vehicle, always bought new Toyotas (in the last 10+ years). Any info is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: We are planning on returning the vehicle after the end of lease, if that makes any difference.

Where to buy a suit?

I need to buy a suit for a wedding. I'm plus one of a guest so relatively unimportant. In other words, suit does not have to be a status indicator or flashy.

Something current but not too crazy (I'm in my 50's). Will only be worn once every couple of years for similar occasions (not my everyday style).

Where to go to get it?

How to unlock my Iphone?

Had Verizon for 20+ years, switched to a different provider at the end of 2025. Paid off my phones and got new ones with a new provider. So I was left with an extra 2 paid Iphones 15 (that were both originally purchased in 2024 and paid off in 2025).

Sold one to my coworker, she took it to Tmobile and activate it with no problem. Sold another identical one to my other coworker, he tried to hook it up to Mint and it said "Sim locked". And that's when my saga started....

I'll try to make it short - first Verizon customer service guy couldn't help. However, he asked me for my pin. Since I didn't remember one at the time and didn't have the account no longer, he apparently created a new pin for me (I've received an email from Verizon saying that my pin has been charged). The associate still couldn't help me (?) so he transfered me to tech support.

A lady there said she will "open a ticket" for me and the phone should be unlocked in 3-5 business days. The whole phone convo lasted 49 min(!). We'll, seven business days after phone was still locked. Called again, another tech support associate said there's no ticket for me, and I have to go to the corporate store to unlock. Told him I've been there and they told me they cannot do that, it has to be done by tech support. He insisted on me going there and "...he'll call me at that time to talk to them".

Went to the store on agreed day and time - and, of course, he didn't call me back while I was there. I called them back, got another tech support who then had an argument with a store employee and they were trying to convince each other that the other one can unlock the phone! Wow!

Then the tech support guy came up with a solution that I have to go home, log in to the phone, turn off "Find my phone" feature (because THAT'S the reason for all the problems), reset my phone and it'll be unlocked.

Went home, had my coworker log in to turn that off and - you guessed it - nothing happened. Took the phone to my adult son (who was using that phone while it was under my name), he logged in and did the same thing, with a same result.

So now I have a paid phone that I cannot use because nobody in Verizon knows how to unlock. They all admitted that the phone should be unlocked, they all admitted it's their (Verizon's) fault, they all admitted that the first associate should NOT change my PIN without telling me what is it, and they all admitted I've been lied by virtually every associate I spoke with. Yet, my phone is still "Sim locked".

Does anyone have any idea how to handle this? Who to call, what to do?

I would greatly appreciate your input.

Are there any aftermarket solution for better passenger handlebars? Easier to reach, more comfortable to hold onto....

The ones on a GS model are significantly better. Anyone have a solution for a better passenger comfort?

Thanks.
