Current project

Need to refine It a little, but the concept IS there, this sub told me disks need active cooling so here we are, as a flowrate measurement, with one fan and covering the other slot, i can hold a lighter in the last 3 (they have blanks) but the flame vanishes in front of the disks because of the air.

But i have questions:

- the back piece clips to the front, but that makes the joint more fragile, should switch to screws?

Fans are going in the back as i want to keep it easy to swap disks and for aesthetics, should they blow back to front or suck front to back? Not sure whats mor efficient in this scenario

How much Chamber do i need in between the fans and the disks for the air to flow properly? Now fits in a labrax but not in a mod10, if 50mm IS enough i can make It fit both.

So... This is my Nas

From top to bottom

M-atx board with 2 lsi cards i5 16ram

DVD reader just because had the space, the reader and no other computer with a reader

3.5 disks for backups

2.5 that are actually divided in 2 virtual drives, each with 2 drives in raid + 2 spares and 2 empty slots

Flex in the back and 2ssd for OS.

Next step is immich, this is only to store family photos worth keeping documents and such so there is not much going on, advice appreciated.

Hoy desinstalo wallapop

Compré un servidor, nuevo, embalaje original.

Llega con un golpe la caja, cartón roto y aboyado, servidor roto, nada muy importante pero aún así...

Dice wallapop que el embalaje original es insuficiente, y que el "seguro" que me han cobrado no lo cubre, que la caja original tiene que ir envuelta en plástico burbuja y esta envuelta en otra caja más, y entonces se inventarían otra cosa seguramente.

Any request?

So, I finished my nas build inside a labrax 10" rack and, what started as I will download. A bunch of files and be done ended up in redesigning parts of the rack and creating my own panels to fill it to my needs.

So I ended up with a 6u labrax rack working, and a 8U mod10 filled with the designs I ended up discarding lol.

​

Now that I'm done, I miss the days of designing and problem-solving, so any plate you guys need done would be happy to help with it.

So, semillas la palma closed, and looks like rareseeds is no longer shipping to Spain, so I bought at semillas .de 2 weeks ago, and I don't even have a tracking number, any experiences with them? Any recommendations for Europe?
