It was 35 years ago this week, that I returned from my Desert Storm deployment.

Sure wish my Father had half the homecoming I got (pictured, bottom right) after his 100 Missions as a Wild Weasel ‘Bear’ in Vietnam…

I was trained in combat logistics, as an E-6 with 9+ years in. Since I earned my degree 4 years prior, I applied for, and 6 months later, was commissioned as a s 2nd Lieutenant in Dec 1991.

Happy 4th to all US Veterans, their families and loved ones. 🇺🇸

Lifetime Consumer Reports reader here… The *May + June* issue has a one page recommendation on grills.

I was *not happy* to see our beloved recteq **not listed*** among the top three recommended pellet grills shown…

So, I went and looked at their site for the ‘Rest of the story’. Lo and behold, they tested a total of 16 pellet grills, not a single one was a recteq.

Bummer… Really feel they did the magazine readers a *BIG* disservice by not including our slightly less than mainstream recteqs. Just because you can’t get them at Lowe’s or HD, most likely.

I’m betting that even my *Patio Legend* would have scored higher than the mid-level 74 rating they gave that Z Grill…
