Bermuda TIF installed mid-October, now has quite a few problem areas in the front (no dogs in the front). We don’t tend to water much yet because we’re still getting storms about once per week. We also get mushrooms sometimes. It also looks like one of my natives in the front is struggling with something. I did use Specticle Flo around March or so to keep the sandburs at bay, but that was probably the wrong choice because we have sandy soil (under the topsoil and sod that were put down).

It also seemed like I was possibly hitting it too hard with frequent low mows in early spring. I was trying to follow the Bermuda gospel, but the holes and brown patches seemed to be getting worse after each mow (the blades were beat to heck which I also didn’t realize at the time). Ever since I raised my deck one setting, got new blades, and gave it more time to green out between cuts, I’ve been seeing a bit of improvement. But still, these big chunks in the front…I just want them to go away lol.
