I recently ordered Vodafone cable internet through CHECK24. My main intention was only to get the internet connection.

Later I realized that I had also confirmed a separate GigaTV Home Cable contract. I honestly did not understand at the time that this was a separate paid TV subscription. I do remember confirming/signing something, so I am not claiming Vodafone added it without my consent.

The GigaTV costs around €14.99 per month, plus there was a €49.99 activation fee. I do not even own a TV and have never used the GigaTV service.

I contacted Vodafone and explained the situation. I also asked for a Kulanzkündigung, but they told me that because the 14-day withdrawal period is already over, they cannot cancel it early.

I am a student, so paying for a TV service I will never use is frustrating.

Has anyone had a similar situation with Vodafone? Is there any realistic way to get out of the GigaTV contract early, or am I basically stuck with it until the end of the minimum contract period?

I definitely want to keep my Vodafone cable internet. I only want to cancel GigaTV.

I don't like the new update. I had three pinned chats in my ChatGPT app (Plus) on my MacBook, but they're gone now. Yes, I can see them under “Chats,” but even that isn't very easy to access. I tried to pin this thread, and while it does get pinned, I can’t open the conversation afterward. It feels really slow. One my chat thread is pretty long, and I use it for research, I can’t edit my prompt anymore.

Is there a solution for this? Can I roll back my app to an older version?

My master’s thesis topic was recently accepted after a revised starter presentation. It is an industry-related thesis with a practical prototype and evaluation part.

My supervisor said I am responsible for managing the process myself, and his role is mainly to check the academic result. I understand that, but I feel a bit stuck about what to do first.

My current plan is:

1. Create a thesis outline
2. Draft the methodology/research approach chapter
3. Map literature to thesis sections
4. Prepare a project plan
5. Define prototype requirements and evaluation approach

Does this sound like a reasonable next step?

ich bin vor kurzem in eine Wohnung in Koblenz gezogen. In meinem alten Haus hatte ich einen Hinterhof, dort konnte ich mein Mountainbike problemlos waschen. Jetzt habe ich keinen geeigneten Außenbereich mehr und möchte es ungern in der Badewanne waschen, wegen Schlamm/Fett und der Gefahr, den Abfluss zu verstopfen.

Ist es in Koblenz bzw. Umgebung okay, ein MTB in einer SB-Waschbox / an einer Autowaschanlage zu reinigen?

Ich würde natürlich keinen Hochdruck direkt auf Lager, Tretlager, Steuersatz, Naben, Dichtungen, Bremsen usw. halten. Es geht eher um eine vorsichtige Reinigung mit wenig Druck, danach trocknen und Kette neu schmieren.

Kennt jemand gute Orte dafür in Koblenz oder Umgebung? Gibt es lokale Regeln wegen Schmutzwasser/Kettenfett, die man beachten sollte?

I recently moved to an apartment in Koblenz. In my old house I had a backyard, so washing my mountain bike was easy. Now I don’t have any outdoor space, and I’m trying to avoid washing it in the bathtub because of mud/grease and drain-clogging risk.

Is it acceptable/legal/practical to take an MTB to a local self-service car wash/SB-Waschbox in or around Koblenz?

I would not use high pressure directly on the bearings, bottom bracket, headset, hubs, suspension seals, brake calipers, etc. I’m mainly thinking of using a gentle rinse/low-pressure mode to remove mud, then drying it and lubing the chain afterwards.

Are there any specific places in Koblenz where cyclists usually wash bikes? Or any local rules I should know about, especially regarding chain grime/wastewater?

I am a Master’s student in Germany and I am planning to write my thesis in cooperation with a company. The company previously told me that the thesis topic matches their expectations and that they would prepare the documents once the university accepts the topic.

My university supervisor has now basically accepted the topic and allowed me to continue. However, he also said there will be no official email or written confirmation that the thesis proposal has been accepted. He asked me to improve the literature background, context, and framing before moving further.

I am now unsure how to interpret this for the company paperwork. Does the company usually prepare/sign the cooperation or thesis contract after the supervisor gives basic approval of the topic, even without an official acceptance email? Or do companies usually wait until the thesis is officially registered with the university?

I understand that this may depend on the university and company, but I would like to know what is common in Germany.
