Hi, I’ve been on Buproprion 150 mg for 9 weeks and I feel worse (anxiety/depression)
Also on Effexor (Venlafaxine) , 150 mg for 15 years. It worked great until 2 years ago when I experienced burn out.
Just got a DNA test back which showed that Buproprion might not be the best fit for me.
Has anyone had a DNA test done and switched medication because of it?

Does anyone else become anxious when feeling fatigued, overtired?
And what about during allergy seasons? When I feel foggy due to pollen allergies, I become very anxious.

I’ve been on Wellbutrin for 4 weeks ( added to Effexor ). After 15 years on Effexor, had a relapse of anxiety, low mood, so Wellbutrin was added on.
These past 4 weeks have been tough!
Anxious, headaches, nausea, waking up too early, fatigue….
Is this a sign that this medication is not right for me?
Or has anyone experienced horrible side effects for weeks and then felt better?
Really need some encouragement to stick with it to see if it will work for me!
Has anyone had experience using the tests such as gene sight test to determine which antidepressants/ anti anxiety meds that would work best for you based on DNA?
Would love to know your thoughts and if it was useful.
