Hiring an ops generalist intern at an early-stage D2C food brand (Delhi on site)

Hiring an ops generalist intern at an early-stage D2C food brand — equal parts spreadsheets and standing in a mandi at 8am

Hey all,
We’re a small, fast-growing D2C packaged-food startup (currently shipping ~100+ orders a day with a lean team). We’re looking for an operations generalist intern — and I want to be upfront about what that actually means: this role is half white-collar, half blue-collar. You’ll be in spreadsheets one part of the week and in a wholesale market talking to vendors the other part. If that combination sounds fun rather than annoying, keep reading.

**What you’d actually do:**

• Crack our supply chain. Visit mandis, meet and negotiate with vendors, figure out how our raw-material sourcing really works on the ground — and then build systems to automate and streamline that whole process so it isn’t held together by phone calls and memory.
• Build inventory projections. Dig into our order data and forecast demand so we stop over- and under-stocking.
• Find where to double down. Analyze our sales channels and performance data, figure out what’s working, and tell us where to put more fuel.
• Help with product + content. Pitch in on food sampling trials for new products/flavours, and help with content creation.

Who I’m looking for:
• Someone genuinely comfortable in both worlds — solid with Excel/Sheets and basic data analysis, and totally fine being on their feet in a mandi.
• Scrappy and self-directed. You figure things out without hand-holding.
• Curious about food / FMCG / D2C is a big plus.
• Students and early-career folks welcome.

**Logistics:**

Location - Mayapuri on-site (there’s real fieldwork)
duration - 3 months
Stipend: 10-20k (depending on interview)
strong intern → possible full-time/PPO.

It’s early and a little messy, which means you’ll learn a ton and actually own real things instead of fetching coffee.

To apply: DM me with a couple of lines about yourself and anything you’ve built or done. No formal CV needed.
