3000 & 2500 thoughts/questions

Ive had an Ecovacs GOAT 2500 for a year. We've had issues, and after troubleshooting with the company at length, they sent us a 3000. Wondering if anyone has experience with both and could listen to me bi!ch.

With the 2500, I had the security feature turned on, so that if the unit was lifted off the ground it would beep and all that. Seems like a good idea, except... If the the 2500 would get confused and stuck (which would happen constantly) it seemed my only option was to:

  1. turn off, pick it up and return to charging station (which of course would lose any progress I had

  2. go to manual control and drive it back to the charging station. which is just ridiculous because the speed is governed in this mode and it's slow AF

Is the 3000 destined for the same behavior? It's one of the most frustrating things about the GOATs.

Metheny & Rosenwinkle w/ Burton?

Was there ever a live TV performance of Gary Burton’s band with both KR and PM? I think I’m going crazy 🤪 😂
I seem to remember PM was a featured soloist (standing downstage with GB) while KR did not have a solo (and stood upstage, stage left if I remember correctly).
Or, I’m just losing it! 😆

I know this has been discussed with at least one other Ecovacs mower, but I don’t see a thread regarding the a2500.

I don’t see any way to turn off object avoidance with the a2500. Not in the mower/robot settings, or area/auto mowing settings. There’s no “mow zone” way to turn off object avoidance (similar to a no go zone). These must be options in other mowers, but not the a2500.

Can anyone confirm this?

I see the enhanced mode does seem to have a slightly taller object avoidance setting, but still doesn’t make a difference concerning those pesky dandelions.

I know I can remove the dandelions myself, I know I can mow more often. I’m just trying to determine what the a2500 is capable of. Since their app is kinda glitchy (let’s face it y’all), who knows what is actually possible with these robots.

I absolutely am obsessed with my espresso machine, but where has this been my whole life? Use a french press to froth milk. Brilliant! Late to the party. Not exactly what a FP was designed to do, so I'm sure it'll break soon 😆

I might've been the first Sienna repair in our area, or even our state. I submitted lemon law paperwork back in early January, and didn't hear a peep from Toyota (besides that they received the paperwork). I'm sure they were biding their time until they had a solution. Whatever, we got our van back. PITA.
