I asked if he was color blind and he said something like he has color ignorance?

I asked him about his cat. What color he was. He said he had different colors. I mentioned that calico cats are usually female. He said he didn’t know what color or type of cat (tiger like ) just said his cat was perfect.
Is there suck a thing are color ignorance?
I think he’s on the spectrum if that makes a difference. Just never heard of this. Is it like face blindness ?

What it means to be “too much” and he paid for everything. Is that a date?

I went on an adventure, what I call dates, today. Someone who I’ve known for years and we’ve gone to a few parties and concerts together this summer. I think we’re just friends and I’ve wondered why it hasn’t gone further.
We were walking and talking and I was telling him about how I was leading a drum circle for the first time. He smiled and said something like “of course, you’re a good drummer too” and it made me think that for some people, my curiosity , skills and talents could be a lot. I wonder if any possible partner could feel like they’re not enough?
I don’t expect someone else to be like me, but I also don’t want to dim my light. I would want someone to be happy for my many ways of finding joy and encourage that.
I guess I’m having deep thoughts after a baseball game and dinner. But I have great times and I’m sure I’m good company. I also feel a little uncomfortable with being treated to concerts, games and dinners. I have offered to pay but he would not do that. I need to learn to be ok with it. He’s happy to have someone to do fun things with.
Thanks for letting me share.

I can’t imagine loving anyone enough to take care of them and can’t imagine being taken care of. Wtf?

I am helping care for a friend who is disabled with a progressive disease while their spouse is out of town.
I’m a very good caregiver. Worked for years as a personal
Assistant, caregiver and companion. I got paid very well for it. I stopped working after an injury and have been on disability since last year.
It’s been close to 10 years since I’ve been in a “serious” relationship where I’d be caring for someone, someone caring for me.
I know that if I loved someone I’d want to care for them. I think I don’t want to. Am I destined to live my life alone? Maybe I shut down my vulnerability? Or I haven’t met anyone that sparks me. Maybe I need a roll in the hay?
Is it wrong that I think about how I’d want my person to be able to pay someone to take care of them so it’s not all on me?

I think I’m talking in circles. Curious as to what others think and I should have looked to see if someone posted something like this already.
I just started thinking about dating again last month. 😊

Caregiver looking for resources

I’m helping to care for a friend w MS. He’s had it for decades and just this past year struggling with a lot. Loss of independence. A lot if fear. Transfers from wheelchair to bed/toilet is a huge problem.
He can’t be the only one dealing’s these things but when I asked the dr for resources he wasn’t helpful.
I’m not sure how long he’ll be able to stay at home and even though I haven’t brought it up, he knows his wife cannot support his transfers and I’m only there a couple hours 3 x a week.
Thank you in advance.

I got half of an Ameriprise acct, and for 17 years I ignored it. 55k variable annuity and 20k brokerage. I’m paying attention now and trying to learn.

Not sure if I should move the money, but I’m reading it’s not the best. I don’t think it’s done too much there. Also, I will be getting a settlement for around 100k and will need to do something smart with that too. I am distrusting of finance people (sales) and not sure how to find someone to help with my amount of $ and my personal situation.

I’m unintentionally “retired” at 63, on disability and need to prepare the best I can. Is there an app for that?
Thanks

I saw mouse droppings last week. I bought some traps, caught 3 so far. Two days ago I saw a mouse scurrying around perimeter of dining room. I pulled anything against the walks for evidence. Lots of droppings.

I looked for possible entries in that area and filled with steel wool.

I started hearing sounds in exterior wall (upstairs) and just now I see a mouse in my bedroom. Woke me up 5am.

I’m freaking out. I feel dirty and ashamed and like I’ll never want to eat or sleep at home again. They need to go because I can’t afford to move.

I feel paralyzed with anxiety and fear. I didn’t want to on use poison but I’ll do whatever is fastest. The traps upset me.

I also recognize they could be coming from basement, crawl area or many other spots in this old house.

How many bait stations do I need? How long will it take? What else should I do.

Thanks in advance.
