Week four heading into five

So, rash is mostly gone, but symptoms remain. Still have intermittent sharp pains on right side (one area of rash.). Itching has finally gone but intense fatigue (it feels impossible to stay awake at times) and horrible headache remain (my mornings aren’t bad but by two p.m. the worst headache is coming on, with worst of it in neck, followed by back of the head, then temples and shoulders.)

How are those of you who have reached this point. I just can’t believe how bad this has been.

Look at me. I'm the captain now!

Tuffy finally got to captain his own ship. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday weekend.

Two weeks, twentish decants, an adventure for my mom and me

So, my mom is coming on Sunday to visit and stay for two weeks. We likely will most just laze around the house, but will eat dinner out most nights and will visit some relatives for a couple of days.

I’ve long loved reading about different scents but it’s only in my recent introduction to the sub that I’ve created a laundry list of “must trys” and learned about decants.

I have about six bottles currently but only wear two, Givenchy’s Amarige which I started wearing in law school, thirty years ago (and it still gets compliments all the time) and Byredo’s Mojave Ghost which I purchased a few years back after spending hours in a very empty Saks with a nice emoloyee. My mother only wears Amarige.

Anyway, I thought it might be fun to do something with fragrance while she is here so I purchased about twenty 1ml decants from two sites and we’re going to try them together. I think we’ll each choose one each day, since she won’t be here twenty days.

Rather than writing notes on a scrap of paper I thought I might keep notes here. A lot of what we’re trying will seem very basic to you guys, since, other than the Saks trip, I haven’t tried much of anything, but we would love any comments anyone has as we go through this experiment. I basically chose through posts many of you have made describing various of your experiences and I pulled several from a couple of threads about beachy vibes and skin scents.

Oh, and it’s her birthday while she is here, so her gift from my husband and me will be a magic marker made gift certificate for a full size of whichever one she chooses.

I’m so looking forward to this, and thanks to you for the inspiration and your suggestions.

Kroger Carbmaster skim alternatives?

Hello, all. Looking for some advice, and apologies if this has been asked in the past; I searched for it but didn’t find anything so I thought I would reach out to the experts.

I live in an area where Kroger is pretty much the only option for groceries (we also have a local chain and Piggly Wiggly and, of course Wal-Mart and Target as well as Aldi.) I have to severely limit sugar/carbs and was unable to have milk or yogurt at all until Kroger introduced its wonderful Carbmaster products. Complete game changer for me.

Now the Carbmaster milk is maybe being discontinued, but is certainly generally unavailable. Those doing keto use Fairlife but that won’t work for me. Are there any alternatives that you guys know of that might be available to me?

Thanks so much in advance. I love these niche subs and I’ve already spent about an hour scrolling through…..so interesting!

▲ 4 r/POTS

I’m going to see my POTS specialist in a couple of weeks. I’ve had POTS for about ten years. My specialist is an older doctor in semi-retirement and has not been the most proactive about trying different meds for POTS. I had to request Propranolol from him (I’ve been taking for a few months, 10 mg, twice a day, and haven’t noticed any improvement.) He also prescribed Midodrine early on, which didn’t help and I take Fludrocortisone.

My symptoms, especially fatigue and headache have gotten much worse over the past six months. I would like to discuss other meds with him and I’ve seen many of you discuss meds in other posts. Do any of you have any suggestions I might raise with him? I also take Adderall for fatigue. It helped a lot for a number of years but the efficacy has worn off.

Thanks in advance.
