Review about Vortek upgrade! READ IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO UPGRADE

Hello reddit!
I recently upgraded my H2S into an H2C using the vortek kit available and after 3 days working on this cool but wild project I wanted to come around here and give yall my very honest opinion about it, some tricks and the mistakes I made to help everyone decide!

First and foremost, this upgrade was very worth it, altough very long and time consuming, which I had because I did the install on a long weekend with a holiday, I liked every second of it, I loved troubleshooting every issue that I had and now I feel like im more personal with the printer.

I clocked 7 hours and 12 minutes in the install in one seating (Saturday night), I did have dinner while doing this and talked to a friend while we were doing the install together through facetime, so I did take my time but I could not go any faster, otherwise I would have made more mistakes. And thats part 1, PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS step by step, if possible also watch any videos out there so you are familiarized with the install, this is a complicated one but not one that someone can't do. I missed the very first step on removing the screws of my back plate so I happened to remove the screws of the belt tensioners so this made my toolhead to be offcentered and hence not unlatch the right nozzle properly (This was my entire Sunday afternoon and Monday to figure out, at the end support came in clutch, responded within 5 hours and helped me find this dumb issue). So like I mentioned guys follow each step and read everything, make sure to take your time.

Some very annoying tasks to do were removing the heatbed cables from the AC board (I ended up messing up all the female plugs so I had to buy some on amazon and solder them myself)(once again because I did not read the steps all the way through); removing the screws from the xy rail was a pain in the *** and so it was putting them back on the new toolhead, my advice is to use the very long and skinny allen key provided in the kit, make sure those screws are VERY VERY tight tho. Other than those 2, everything else was very straight forward. Also once everything is done and printer turned on, firmware 1.05 seems to have a glitch when doing the nozzle camera calibration, make sure to have your top lid and side panels on the printer.

After all my errors were solved and support coming in clutch and responding so fast, my printer is working amazingly, I have been runing calibrations prints since this morning (Tuesday) and no problems so far. One downside is that the hours you had on the printer before will be wiped out so make sure to write them down so you keep a count on where maintenance is needed next, since the Y rods are still the same as well as belts.

I will be available to read yall comments and DMs if anyone needs help doing this, I am a very active person and I love to help others, so feel free to ask if you are interested on doing this project or are on the process of doing so!!!
