Subway is the new McDonald

I thought this was funny haha. I ordered Subway from the app for pickup last night, and when I paid for it, it showed up as McDonald's on the Apple Card. lol

Apple sold my debt

Hi!
So I owed Apple about 9k…. (Don’t even want to get into the reasons why)
Anyways I tried to do a payment plan and I couldn’t keep up. So I just stopped paying. It’s been at least over a year. Anyways now they sold my debt to resurgence acquisitions LLC.
I really don’t know what to do or where to even start. I’m ashamed and embarrassed.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thank you

Is there any value left to keeping this card?

Just thought I'd throw it out here. With the constant declining interest rates on the savings account and no longer being able to transfer sim free phone purchases to ACMI. Is there any point left to keeping this CC as my main?

Edit: to clarify, Apple no longer honors 0% financing on iPhones if you're not on a traditional carrier. I just got rejected like so many others have

For may or will it still report what ever balance is on the card.

Mystery charges I can’t figure out

So in April I switched to a Samsung phone. Paid off my Apple Card but did not close down account. I’m now using a different credit card . I saw a charge today that was for a hotel that I booked in feb and apparently they charged that card. Fine. The thing is my balance was $260 even. I paid off the hotel charge which was $257.xx. Now my balance is 2.xx…? I haven’t purchased anything else and nothing in the transactions. So what is it? I’m sure it’s something simple but I can’t see it. Help

Be careful Apple Card/ Goldman Sachs

GS customer service is the worst!!! Please stay far far far far away! I have lost so many hours of my life over the last 4 months dealing with them over 2 fraudulent charges on my account. A few months ago I started getting text messages about purchases being made on my card that I knew wasn’t me. So called Apple/ GS immediately to report. They were able to cancel the card and just in time from a 3rd charge going through. So at least the 3rd was declined. They immediately put the funds from the 2 charges that went through back on my card and said they would investigate further. 2 months later they email me saying they decided that one of the charges was fraudulent but the other one was not. Of course the 50 dollar one was the one they decided was fraudulent. The 500 dollar charge that happened 1 minute after was decided not to be fraudulent. Even though that one was from the same merchant that a 3rd charge had tried to go through that day but I was on the phone with them canceling the card so it got declined. I told them I definitely was not paying 500 dollars for a charge I did not make. And they said I could dispute it again but that I needed to give them evidence or proof that it wasn’t me that made the purchase?!?!!? Or they would probably come to the same conclusion at the end of the dispute again. So I ended up calling the merchant where my card had been used fraudulently and it took them less than half a day to get back in touch with me and say that they could tell on their end that the charge was fraudulent bc of how many times the charge tried to go through back to back to back and they were able to prevent some on their end as well. They told me they would refund the 500 dollars to my account that did go through. I thought at this point everything was good. So I called GS back and told them that I got it taken care of and the merchant refunded me the money bc they could CLEARLY tell it was a fraudulent charge. GS told me that was great and they would let their fraud team know and the case would be closed. A month later I get an email from Apple/GS saying they couldn’t find any wrong doing and they were closing the dispute bc the merchant refunded me my money. I was furious at this point bc I knew the merchant refunded me my money! I was the one who called them and got them to do it. And I was the one who called GS to let them know I got it taken care of with no help from them either ! but decided not to respond bc everything had been taken care of already as far as my money getting back into my account. Even though I did all the leg work myself. Then about a month after that I get a notification that a remark has been added to my credit report. I look into it and GS put a remark on my credit report saying “ customer disputes after resolution “! I look it up and it doesn’t negatively affect your score but it can cause problems if you are planning on buying a home or a car in the near future. They will want that remark removed before purchasing. So…. I call GS again asking them what the fuck are they talking about and why did they place that remark on my report? I ended up having to call back several times escalating it each time and was told that they placed it bc I disputed their first response/ outcome of only accepting one of my fraudulent charges. And they deemed the 500 dollar charge to be authorized. Even though they were wrong!! That was absolutely a fraudulent charge and I was able to call the merchant and get them to refund the money immediately. But bc I didn’t just agree with their first outcome and say ok u guys are right and I will just come out of pocket and pay u the money and not dispute it a 2nd time… that is why now I have a remark on my report. And they said they cannot take it off . Which is not true. They can take it off but won’t. I’m so over dealing with them I just don’t want to have to speak to any one of them ever again. Please please stay far away from GS. This has been an absolute nightmare dealing with them for the last 4 months!!!!

Beware: Unable to dispute Apple charges

So it turns out, if you have subscription charges on your Apple Card and you dispute it through Apple and they deny it, you no longer have a secondary recourse to go through your credit card because well it’s an Apple Card.

Moving all my subscription charges to a separate credit card and considering cancelling my Apple Card. I can get 3% on all charges through Robinhood plus better benefits. I see no reason to use an Apple Card.

Edit: not buyers remorse. This was a trial that converted into a full subscription and a request of refund that submitted the next day.

Edit 2: All I’m saying is that by using the Apple Card, you only have one channel to dispute this kind of charge. With another credit card, you now have two options in case one fails.

This is not about whether I have responsibility or not in cancelling on time.

Does Apple Card have retention offers?

I have an apple card that I had for about 4 years now and I've seen many signup offers for new signees in the past (mostly $250+ discounts at nike, apple, etc...) which I was not able to take advantage of. Does the apple card have retention offers like in Amex where you can ask for an offer they are offering to new customers? Has anyone tried asking for a retention offer?

What’s the most annoying thing about Rocket Money or budgeting apps?

I’ve been trying different budgeting/subscription apps lately and I’m curious what people genuinely dislike about them long term.

Not just features missing, but things that actually make you stop using them altogether.

Is it:

  • too complicated?
  • annoying notifications?
  • bank syncing issues?
  • subscriptions not being detected correctly?
  • pricing?
  • too much manual work?
  • ugly/confusing UI?
  • trust/privacy concerns?

What’s the biggest frustration you’ve had with Rocket Money or budgeting apps in general?

Failed the Path to Apple Card, applied 2 months later and got approved!

I've been trying to apply since last year around October. I was denied and put on the Path to Apple Card in November which lasted 4 months but I couldn't do all the steps. I had to reduce overall debt but I'm an Authorized User for an Amex Card with my family and the balance didn't go down by the time March rolled around. I just gave up trying to get it and basically forgot about it until just now. I decided to apply for it on a whim and surprisingly it went through and I was approved!

They only gave me a 3k credit limit (with a 19.94% APR) but I'm happy to finally have this!

Avoid Apple Card

The no interest promise is just bait. Goldman Sachs is a predatory company who will take advantage of you from every angle. DO NOT link your bank account to the Apple Card. Pay attention. DO NOT link your bank account to the Apple Card. You are welcome.

Co-owner bonus

My fiancé added me as a co-owner so we could get the $100 bonus. I’ve been using the card but so far only gas has counted towards the $100 bonus. Does anyone know anyone purchases that count?

How successful is it to buy an iPhone on ACMI without a carrier when you ask?

Just asking because my four year old workhorse 13 is getting pretty hot nearly every day and heavily lags, so I think it might be time to retire it soon. Thinking about the base 17, but I’m on Visible. Apparently I just missed the (000)-000-0000 trick because that doesn’t work anymore, and I’m not interested in a Pro because I feel it’s not worth several hundred more than the base, especially this generation. Will I get pushback trying to convert an iPhone purchase to ACMI, or is it usually pretty successful?

Apple Cash gone and charges didn’t go through

So I added 70$ from my debit card to apple cash to make a purchase from a store that does not tax with Apple Cash. It didn’t go through and screen said “ not enough funds” but my apple cash is at 0 and it took my money. I tried it again and the same thing happened. Who do I even call?

Is the Apple Card's advanced fraud protection worthwhile?

Does the rotating CVV on the Apple card make a difference in fraud protection or prevention compared to a traditional credit card like Am Ex Blue Cash Everyday?

I know there's no way to tell what might have happened if you hadn't rotated your Apple card CVV. I suppose I'm asking if that feature makes it any more secure than a traditional credit card, in your opinion.

Transaction 1: I use my Apple Card via Apple Pay QR code

Then I request new virtual card number on my Apple Card through the iWallet app.

Transaction 2: I use my Apple Card via ApplePay QR code again (this time my card number is different

Question: Do these two transactions appear to be from the same user to the merchant?
