Just Got My Apple Card

Going to use it to pay for my tuition and use the 300$ bonus to pay for my textbooks. Genuinely perfect timing.

I'm using this to boost my credit score to buy a house in 3-5 years. Trying to lower my credit utilization rate by: increasing my limits and using the Apple Card to pay for my monthly subscriptions.

iPhone Upgrade Program transition

Those on this, who have picked up a new phone every year, what is your plan in September? Apple Upgrade, Apple Card installments? From what I understand, if you don't go Apple Upgrade, you will need to pay the balance of the loan from last september yes?

Merchant issue with Apple Card

I've had an apple card for several years now and it's been my default card for everything. The credit limit is 26k. My credit score is 840. I'm in the process of renovating bathrooms in my home so the credit line has been helpful. I have multiple apple products and they're all financed at 0% with this card.

I ordered a product online and received a portion of the purchase. I contacted the merchant after realizing I did not receive everything I ordered and paid for with this card. I worked with them for several weeks, exchanging emails with customer support about the missing item then they went dark and stopped responding (the last comment from them was that they would 'let the vendor know' of the error). I contacted Goldman Saks for card support. I opened a case. So far, so good. The charge was removed but one month later the charge reappeared. I still have no resolution with the merchant. I contacted apple card support and was told I "am welcome to refile a claim" and they realize 'the outcome wasn't what I wanted'. WTH? I've removed the card from my wallet as the default and wont be using it again. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is there an appeal process? I'm dumbfounded.

Should I accept?

I applied yesterday and got approved for a $7k limit at 17.49%. I only applied because my credit score has improved significantly in the last year or so and I was wanting to maybe open a new card to extend my overall amount of available credit so my credit score will grow. My credit score currently ranges from 760-774 depending on the model, and my income is around $50-$58k annually.

I currently have an American Express blue cash preferred card with a $17,700 limit, a capital one quicksilver with a $9,600 limit, a Best Buy card (I financed a kitchen set through them last year) with a $12,500 limit, and I’m an authorized user on a capital one venture card with a $11,100 limit. I recently financed a new car in January and took out a $6k loan with 7% APR last month, as well as opened my Best Buy credit card back in August of 2025, so I do have a few hard inquiries/new accounts on my credit report.
I use my credit cards regularly and keep my statement balances low (over the last few months, each card has been less than 10% utilization rate except for my Best Buy bc it was for something I financed, but last month I got down to 28% utilization, so my current avg. utilization rate is less than 10%). And then I pay each statement balance off in full. I have never missed a payment on any of my cards or current/previous loans.
My question though, should I accept this offer or should I try to get a different card with better perks? I doubt I’ll get an offer from another card with an opening balance as high as this offer so that’s why I’m thinking of taking this. But if anyone has any advice on another card that I should get instead or if I should just leave it alone, I would love to hear. TIA!

Should I wait or accept now

I was in the path to applecard for 2 months just said they said I should bring my balance down below 805 one of my card reported on the 8 which took the balance to about 770 2 more cards are closing next week which will bring balance to about 300 and bump my credit score more cause I’m on 730 now so if I wait will they increase the credit limit. Thank you in advance 🙏🏼

My Apple Pay account is frozen because I failed verification

Hi, I’d like to start by pinky promising I’m not a fraud, just confused. The other day my mother tried to send me a large amount of money with Apple Pay (500$) and they asked me to verify myself. I failed like 3 attempts. I know my social security is correct (straight off the birth certificate) and I tried with both addresses I have used for the post office and my legal first and last name. I tried to contact support, but they’re just sent me more prompts, which also failed, and said they couldn’t even tell which it was wrong.

I use my middle name in day to day life, and my Apple ID is under my middle name, so I am suspecting that maybe I should use that instead when I can next attempt verification? Although, they have my social security which would show my first name regardless. Are there any intricacies to this that I don’t understand? Googling has yielded nothing.

Any help would be really appreciated, thank you so much in advance.

Pre Approved, Is it worth it?

Hey yall I just wanted to ask if getting the apple card is worth it, for context I already have a blue cash everyday and a freedom rise as im still fairly new to building credit with around a 720 score and got pre approved when I checked with a 3k CL (1.8k total cl across my two cards). I am planning on buying the 17 pro max this Friday if that helps. Any suggestion on what course of action I should take would be amazing thanks!

Denied for.. checking accounts?

Put in an application because of the $300 when spending $1500 promo. Fico 748, no missed payments and ~5% utilization.

Got denied because my «credit report showed inquiries related to checking accounts». This one is new for me, did not know credit cards could be affected by checking accounts? I have indeed opened 2 bank accounts the last 12 months but was unaware this would have an effect or count as inquiries on my credit report. Anybody else with similar experience?

Apple Card has ruled in favor of a scammer 5 times over $100 - what am I supposed to do at this point?

I’ve used Apple Card for years and put roughly $2,000/month on it since 2023. Until this happened, I had never disputed a single transaction.

In June/July 2025, I paid an online merchant twice (about $20 and $80) for services that were never provided.

I disputed both charges with Apple Card/Goldman Sachs. 2 months later - Denied.

I contacted them again, explained everything, provided the information they asked for, and was told some version of “rest assured, we’ll consider all the information you’ve provided.” 2 months later - Denied again.

I’ve now gone through this process FIVE TIMES. Each time I spend more time explaining the situation, the dispute gets reopened, I wait weeks/months, and eventually Goldman rules in favor of the merchant and puts the charges back on my card.

At this point it’s barely even about the $100. I’ve probably spent more than $100 worth of my time trying to resolve it. What bothers me is that a card I’ve used for years, with thousands of dollars of legitimate purchases and zero previous disputes, seemingly offers me no protection when I actually need it. And every time I ask what evidence caused them to rule in the merchant’s favor, I feel like I’m back at square one instead of getting a meaningful explanation.

I also discovered that the CFPB previously took action against Goldman Sachs over its handling of Apple Card transaction disputes, including findings related to unreasonable investigations and delays in resolving disputes, which makes this whole experience even more frustrating.

Has anyone actually managed to escalate an Apple Card dispute beyond the normal dispute team?
I’m planning to file a CFPB complaint next. If anyone has dealt with something similar and knows what documentation/escalation finally got Goldman to actually review the case, I’d really appreciate the advice.

Bad experience buying an iPhone with Apple Gift Card + credit card

Sharing my recent experience in case anyone is considering using an Apple Gift Card toward an iPhone purchase.

I went to a couple of Apple Stores to purchase an iPhone using a combination of an Apple Gift Card and a credit card. The stores couldn’t process the order and asked me to place it online instead.

I tried ordering online multiple times, but kept getting payment authorization failures. I tried using 3 different credit cards and debit cards but had the same issue. I contacted Apple Support and spoke with a couple of specialists. One told me there was an Apple-wide issue happening, while another said that splitting the payment between a gift card and credit card wasn’t possible.

I eventually asked to speak with someone senior. A ticket was created—make sure you note down the representative’s name and the ticket number.

Two days later, I received an email saying my account had been updated and that I could place the order. I placed the order the same day.

However, it still took 5 days for the gift card payments to clear, and my iPhone wasn’t shipped until the 7th day.

Overall, this was a very frustrating and unpleasant experience. I personally would not recommend buying Apple Gift Cards if you’re planning to use them toward a major purchase like an iPhone, especially if you’re expecting a smooth checkout experience.

Hopefully this helps someone avoid the headache I went through.
