I was thinking of getting the Apple Card. I would be the account owner, and I would add my 2 adult children as participants. Can the account be set up so that all cash back they earn on their purchases gets sent to my account and not their Apple Cash accounts?
I just happened to notice today that I now receive AMC in the Entertainment package. Prior to today you needed to have the full YTTV base package to get it. The other AMC channels like AMC Thrillers are not available in this package from what I can see.

Anybody else having iCloud connection problems in the last 30 minutes this afternoon? I'm not able to connect to iCloud email and the Find My app stopped sharing my location. DownDetector is showing problems.
I purchased a 3-pack of Hue Lily spotlights. I have them set up so that they all have the same color (a shade of purple). I noticed that one of the lights is significantly more pink than purple, even though I have all 3 lights "snapped" to the same color in the Hue app color wheel. I have to manually offset that one light to get it to match the other 2 lights. It's not really that big of a deal, but just wondering if anyone else has encountered this type of problem. I have over 50 Hue lights and have never seen this type of issue before.
I have a lot of shows recorded in my library, but it seems that I can only view the season and episode number. Is there no way to view the description of the episode before playing it? I'm using Apple TV.
I subscribe to Gotham Sports to watch Yankees games. For the past 2 seasons it has been working fine. Yesterday I had to upgrade my internet router through Verizon Fios, which subsequently assigned my home a new IP address. Now when I try watching YES, I get a message saying that I am outside my home area (even though I'm sitting in my own home in NJ) and that my "couch rights" will expire in 30 days. It seems that the new IP address is assigned to some other location outside the local area, and I'll get locked out of games after 30 days. Has anyone ever run into this, and how did you resolve it?
I just upgraded my router to the latest Verizon model. I use the Gotham Sports app for watching Yankees games and other NY sports (I'm located in the NYC market). Immediately after doing the router upgrade, when I log into the Gotham app it is telling me that I am not watching from my local area and therefore my service will be blocked after 30 days. I looked up my IP address and it shows the correct location. I also have Youtube TV and it is correctly showing my local NY channels.
I already tried rebooting the router, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the Gotham app, but that has not worked. Has anyone ever run into this type of issue and know how to fix it?
I'm just trying to understand the problem from a technical perspective. My wife and I were in Mystic, CT yesterday which is a popular tourist destination. We both have iPhones which were showing 3 bars of LTE signal. I have Unlimited Plus, she has Unlimited Welcome. Neither of us could connect to any apps, could barely send anything in iMessage. I'm guessing no 5G in the area since neither of our phones switched over, which is surprising given this is a popular tourist spot. 3 bars of LTE showed that a signal was present and strong, but no actual service. I'm curious what could have been going on here?
There has been a lot of talk about a more powerful processor coming to new Apple TV models. It got me thinking, would it be possible to run 2 apps simultaneously as a multi-view. For example, I could run a split screen with Netflix on one side of my screen and watch a game on the ESPN app on the other side of the screen. I would definitely upgrade if such a feature was available. Is this something people would be interested in? Is it technically feasible?
I noticed something that seems to happen at random. I have 3 Hue Flourish table lamps. They each contain a 60W color bulb. I noticed during dynamic scenes when the color is transitioning, rather than a smooth transition, the bulbs do what I would describe as a steady "pulsing" to transition from one color to the next. At first I thought maybe a bad bulb, but all 3 lamps do this. It's also odd that it is not consistent, as the pulsing eventually stops after a while and goes back to a smoother color transition. Has anyone else noticed anything like this?
I'm looking to come back to YTTV. Is custom multiview fully rolled out to all customers yet? Can I save a custom multiview so I don't have to re-create it again every time I go into the app?
I have the Ring alarm system and for the past week I keep getting these notifications that the alarm is using backup cellular, then 2 minutes later it's restored. This keeps happening randomly. Sometimes many times per hour. Then it's fine all day, then starts again randomly. I have already tried rebooting the system, rebooting my router, and clicking the "reset" button the base station. My brother has the same system and he gets these same issues too, so I don't think it's a hardware problem. Any ideas?
I was experiencing some dropouts on my Move 2's so I decided to play around with the network settings. In the Sonos app there is a SonosNet setting that was on channel 6 so I changed it to channel 11. However I then went into the network settings for my individual speaker's wifi status and it shows that I'm connected to channel 1. So what exactly is the SonosNet setting for?
I was out at an event yesterday with my wife and daughter. My phone is on the Unlimited Plus plan and the wife and daughter are both on Unlimited Welcome. During the 2 hours we were at this event, my phone barely worked while their's were fine. I could barely load a web page in Safari and it took several minutes just to send a basic message in iMessage. Meanwhile my wife and daughter had no trouble with their phones. Since I'm on a higher tier plan I would have expected my phone to perform better than their's due to the higher data prioritization which, supposedly, the Unlimited Plus plan has. My wife and I both have the exact same model iPhone so that was not a factor. Any ideas about what could have caused this poor performance? I had tried restarting the phone as well as toggling airplane mode which did not help at all.
I currently have Beats Studio pro and I'm not impressed with the ANC. For example if I'm sitting outside listening to music, if a plane flies by overhead I can hear it through the headphones. Or sometimes I'll be sitting in a room where someone else is watching TV and I can still hear some background noise from the TV. Would the APM2 be a worthwhile upgrade for these situations?
I sold an item to someone and they responded to say that there was some damage when it arrived. I know it was fine when it was shipped. I already received the Ebay payout for the sale. How should I respond to the buyer? Should I tell them to submit a claim to Ebay? Is Ebay going to take the money back out of my account?
I started using the brushless impact driver. I find that to turn it on, I have to hold the trigger for about 10 seconds. It then stays active as long as I keep using it. But if I put it down and idle for more than about 2 minutes, it goes back to seemingly a sleep mode and I have to hold the trigger for another 10 seconds again. It's really annoying when I have to keep waiting for it to turn back on. Is this normal behavior? I tried several different batteries and it's the same for all. My non-impact driver does not do this and turns on instantly.
For the past 2 years I have been using Beats Studio Pros. One thing that really annoys me is when I'm wearing them outside on a windy day, the ambient wind noise is kind of amplified and heard inside the headphones. I have a good seal with the cups over my ears, but it seems as though the headphones are picking up the wind as ambient noise and not able to cancel it out, so it's like a whooshing sound inside the headphones every time the wind blows. I was thinking of upgrading to the APM2's, but wondering if anyone experiences this with the APM2's when worn outdoors.
Bought a new iPhone at an Apple store last weekend. I clicked on Verizon as my carrier, put in my number and account details, and paid for the phone in full. I did not have a chance to set up the new phone yet as I need to transfer the line over from an existing iPhone. But really my question is, what is the purpose of doing the Verizon activation through Apple? There is nothing in my Verizon account that makes any mention of a new phone activation pending. Does this actually do anything to help set up the new phone?
Also, I have seen many people mention that there can be problems setting up the eSIM through the iPhone quick setup. Should I just skip that step and set up the phone directly through the Verizon website?
