Fiancè & I are getting marry next year what’s the next process?

Under trump administration , she entered unlawfully but does have DACA and work permit.. usually in a case like this she would have to leave and a lawful excuse and then come back and then get married

We decided to get married next year despite any of that. What would be the process? Cause right now it’s dangerous within the trump administration.

What would be the general flow of the next steps ?

Why People Are Getting Locked Accounts On PayPal? PayPal Is Secured

Why people are creating fake names on PayPal on their profile page though PayPal secured privacy?

Seriously, As much as I love PayPal and I do use it regularly.. people are creating a PayPal account with no ID verification and somehow bypass it and does not add bank credentials and address. They are doing fake names, leave address blank, leave bank info blank, and create their @ names / PayPal me custom link. This is one of the few reasons why people are getting freeze or locked like I don’t understand that.

If you are doing art commission, yes put your PayPal REAL NAME, or create a business account that has all of your real life information. It ain’t gonna be hacked.

PayPal is suppose to be P2P or pay to business or business to business. It’s not just PayPal but there’s Venmo and cash app that are constantly doing the same thing. Getting frustrated with PayPal fake name and creative name with no REAL NAME as the account holder etc

When people treat financial platforms like anonymous burner social media accounts, it ruins the ecosystem for everyone by:

  • The "Onboarding" Loophole: PayPal make sign-up incredibly frictionless to attract users. They let people create a handle ( @ user name) instantly. Users mistake this initial ease for permanent anonymity.
  • The Inevitable Ban: These users are playing on a ticking clock. The second they hit invisible monetary thresholds or get flagged, federal laws (KYC/Know Your Customer) kick in. The platform demands a government ID, the fake name doesn't match, and boom—the account is permanently locked, followed by them complaining online about being "randomly locked."
  • Ruining it for Honest Users: Because of this widespread lack of accountability, the platforms have to make their security algorithms incredibly aggressive. It’s the rule-abiding users, businesses, and digital artists who end up getting caught in the crossfire, having to prove their identity over and over because of the mess the "ghost" accounts leave behind.

Because I mean it's not just PayPal, there's CashApp and Venmo. Why are users skipping the ID verification, when it's going to be private anyway, and no one can't see?

If their profile name says "AnimeLover99" or a completely fabricated name, and their ID says "John Smith," the system flags it as potential identity theft or fraud. The account is permanently locked, and whatever money was sitting in there is frozen for up to 180 days (or seized entirely).

scammers deliberately use fake names, burner emails, and stolen/spoofed IP addresses to create accounts, quickly scam someone out of money, transfer the funds out via temporary debit cards or crypto, and abandon the account before the platform notices.

What are your thoughts about this? I mean on PayPal, I have my real name on my profile with my home address and my S.S. , and my real profile picture. Not that the real profile picture matters, but the @ user name on PayPal me link matters too. It's all hidden except when someone paypals you or gives you an email, your email needs to be legit. Can't be some fake email that does not coresspond your name. That's why people getting locked. I hate it!

PayPal needs to do something better on the security side!

Hardest decision of my life. Closed Wells Fargo Account for good to Make SoFi as my main

I been a SoFi member since november or so. After slowly transferring money from WF to SoFi, i went to the wells fargo branch to go ahead and finally closed it. After 10 years of banking with them, it was heart broken. People are moving to FinTech, customer service was great. Was a chick with a nice voice and babies in the background yelling.

I do hope I made the right decision to closed and move on with SoFi. Using the required balance to fund loans for other customers is a big headache to me just to keep 1500 minimum at WF I got tired of it. and if they can't make money by lending my idle cash, the monthly fee of $15 helps WF to cover the administrative cot of maintaining my account. What a joke.

I understand there's many competitive banks out there and have other good choices but I decided to bank with SoFi despite the 10/monthly fee of the unlimited 2% credit card, which I don't have.

Are there any freelancers / businesses housekeeper there that uses PayPal for payment?

I like not to use cash or physical card to prevent fraud. I went on Google to search a housekeeper but most sites I’ve found made me pay subscription to view the messages from the housekeeper. Any suggestions from freelancers or official businesses that you know of that takes PayPal?

Is it ‘safe’ to transfer 10k from SoFi checking to SoFi Savings account?

I’m still new to SoFi since November. Is it safe to transfer that much? I understand it is instant transfer, but I just don’t want my account to be locked. I’m saving for a wedding and let the interest grow starting next month.

I'm curious, why did SoFi choose Mastercard over Visa?

Visa is the giant payment processing world, probably controlling over 60% of the market. So why SoFi didn't choose Visa as the card?

When Walmart will get Apple Pay?

I personally don't use walmart pay, but I do pull out my card to pay. As a matter of fact, I do not know if walmart have tap to pay with the debit/credit card.

Scanning the QR code loads forever and takes forever to load the walmart app. The checkout and customer experience will be so much faster for Apple/Google Pay. Those who live in Texas, HEB implemented Apple/Google Pay/Samsung Pay few years ago.

Anyone can't select Highway 6 & Bellaire as a "store"? All of the other locations allow me to make it to my selected store.

It won't let me press it. Anyone having this issue?

u/izumikusu — 9 days ago

Anyone know when HEB Hwy 6 & Bellaire will remodel?

I have 4 HEBs near me. The location in the title is 5 mins from me but that HEB is probably the oldest location but has not remodel yet as far as me going to the other HEB locations. The sugar land location is one of the biggest locations as well as the one In Katy and west bellfort.. the smallest location is in the heights..

Will the ‘Everyday Rewards” CC be a hidden charge for 10/month?

Speculations are going around with the 2% cash back rewards getting charged 10/month to some users for who knows what, which is aside from the sofi plus membership that is also 10/month.

Does the everyday rewards cc apply it too?

I have WF autograph so I get 3x on most categories except groceries. Wouldn’t mind getting 2% cash back on groceries. I could go back and forth on stuff.

Opinions? What’s your experience on everyday rewards for those who have it and do you guys get charged for the 10/month fee?

Is there a subscription for the 2% cc on Sofi?

I’ve been hearing rumors that members are getting a $10/monthly charge just to have their 2% credit card? I’m looking on the website and it says annual charge 0?

Venmo , Paypal, CashApp: Are people using these apps as their source of income, treating it like a bank account? If so, tell me your experience or if you know someone.

I'm actually curious because these apps have direct deposit and routing numbers and so on. I am not sure if these apps can allow you to withdraw cash with no fees. There's plenty of benefits especially with the debit/credit card benefits on these apps specifically.

Anyone has all their money in SoFi Bank? And what’s your opinion on home mortgage loans? Is it any good?

I’m planning to transfer my remaining money from WF to SoFi. Only downside is that I won’t be able to withdraw money anymore at a direct bank, so I would need to go to cvs or target or wherever there’s availability.

I’m tired of WF due to their ignorance and the increase of minimum deposit to 1500. SoFi is minimum of zero.

I’m looking also in buying a new house as first time buyer. I heard SoFi can get to 3-5% down payment for interest rate. Anyone have home mortgage loans from SoFi? What would be your experience?
