Necron Portal Tactics
So, I'm creating a 2k Necron list with NetEA rules from https://tp.net-armageddon.org/army-lists/necron.html
According to my understanding, the Necrons are usually played by spamming Monoliths, using them to teleport inside the enemy territory, engaging and retreating via another portal. But I have a hard time understanding how it works. Should I teleport my monoliths in, 2 of them 15 cm from the enemy, 2 of them 6 cm, retain initiative, assault with my infantry/CC units from the further portal and use consolidation to escape via the closer portal? With added supporting fire from the monoliths? Wouldn't it just leave the portals which are essential to the army, unattended in the middle of enemy territory? Or am I misunderstanding something? I guess that having a bunch of monoliths would mitigate the issue, but they aren't the strongest so it seems like a waste. I know that the army isn't beginner friendly but I really like Necrons and I have some understanding of the rules so I am hoping that I can handle them.
My current list is
HARVESTER ENGINE [600]
Aeonic Orb
INFANTRY PHALANX [275]
6x Warriors, Necron Overlord
INFANTRY PHALANX [225]
6x Warriors, Necron Lord
MONOLITH PHALANX [275]
3x Monoliths
MONOLITH MANIPLE [250]
3 Obelisk, Monolith
EQUES MANIPLE [300]
6 Wraiths
TOMB COMPLEX [75]
Why doesn't this work?
I've been thinking and tinkering with my idea of upgrading the Miku deck for over a week and I finally came up with this list. Mostly focusing on lifegain, trying to keep the token subtheme less in the focus. When goldfishing however... the deck feels utterly terrible still and I don't quite know what is the reason. My friend advised me to cut on the ramp which is a viable suggestion but I nonetheless don't really know what it needs to be more consistent. I feel like it is lacking on card draw despite having 9 pieces of card advantage, on interaction and on consistency overall. I know that upgrading an atrocious precon is a a bad start to begin with but I changed 36 cards so one would think that it'll be enough to make a difference, I'll be thankful for any and all suggestions
Atraxa but it's Spacecrafts. Reasonable? If so, how?
I got a beautiful Atraxa in FiB and want to build her. The problem is that my friends already despise all the decks I build so I didn't want her to be, you know, Atrax-ive. I really like Spacecraft and Planet mechanics and charge counters in general so I wanted to do something along those lines, but during the goldfishing it just feels... too clunky. I don't want the deck to be super strong, rather lower BR3 but I also don't want to sit there and do nothing. I feel like I'm not utilizing the 4 colors to their fullest but I don't know what exactly is my biggest bottleneck. I know that I could do a better land base with shocks and stuff but I don't want to overinvest in this. Aside from that, I think I should have a more relevant win con than "attack with spaceships until everyone dies" but it seems rather hard without red. I'll be thankful for any tips
Decision Paralysis with my Omo
After many iterations, I feel like I'm really close to having my beloved Omo, Queen of Vesuva deck be as perfect as possible. But I still have so many ideas that I don't know how to include and if I should include them. This is currently a deck that has about 80% winrate against other BR3 decks so it *should* be fine. However, I have a bunch of cards that I don't know if I should include or not. [[Let Weaver]] goes infinite with [[Griffin Canyon]] but I have [[Magus of the Candelabra]] already. Maybe I should add [[Whelming Wave]] or [[Summon: Leviathan]]? I have two boardwipes that I can recur with [[Riptide Laboratory]] but I'm constantly worried about having enough interaction. Maybe [[Frantic Search]] to get some card selection and acceleration? And what to cut? [[Terastodon]] that may be too slow despite being good interaction? [[Diffusion Sliver]] since Ward 2 isn't good enough? [[Nesting Grounds]] because moving one counter is not fast enough? Or maybe I'm just trying to change what's already good enough? I'll be more than grateful for any opinions
Phyrexian Phelia help
So my friend is a huge fan of Phelia and of Phyrexians so he decided that he wants to make a deck helmed by this cutie patootie dog that wins with poison counters, casting Elesh Norns etc. I tried to build one for him, including a bunch of good blink targets, infects, some proliferate and some stuff to make the commander itself attack better but I feel like this is way too unfocused. I'm thinking that I should remove the incubate stuff but I also don't want it to feel too little like Phyrexian deck. Any advice? Budget is about 400 bucks for the whole thing in the cheapest printings and bracket of choice would be mid 3
I have recently bought a Hearthrull precon and I did do some upgrades to it. I feel like there's still a bunch of cards that I could put in there but at the same time I feel like there's barely anything worth removing. I'm pretty sure that I need to include more premium removal, especially enchantment/artifact removal but I have no idea what removal it could be. I'm including the decklist with the cards that I own and think that could fit in there in the "considering" section. I don't want to overtune the deck too much since I'm usually winning anyway but I wanna know if there are some obvious changes that I should do to make it run even more smoothly. I'm willing to buy some cards but I can't afford stuff like "add all fetchlands, surveil lands and shock lands". I'll be very grateful for all feedback
