Just got a really nice iPad 2 3G I downgraded to iOS 6.1.3 and I’ve got Cydia, Veteris etc set up. What were/are some standout iPad apps that are still usable now - besides games obviously

Hi all, I have an iPad 1 on iOS 6.1.3 - it’s jailbroken with some old apps installed from veteris, etc. I use this as my offline calendar and reminders app (it sits on my desk in the keyboard dock). Recently found a great iPad 2 I can downgrade, but was just wondering if I can use iTunes to back it up and restore to the iPad 2 to save me inputting my regular events in to my calendar again.

Really enjoyed 2 but I missed out on the first game when it came out. Just started spacers choice and it feels and looks really good, much closer to how I remember New Vegas being - but that’s been a LONG time. What are some key things to not miss? I don’t have oodles of time to do multiple playthroughs so tend to do as much as possible first go round. I spent 95+ on doing TOW2

Hello guys - found this sub thanks to a giveaway post from the ChinaTime sub. I have this Maxi Dial style GMT Master, I know I know it's not brilliant, but I enjoy tinkering and need some parts. I know it needs a new crown and definitely a new bezel. Where would I be able to purchase the proper style bezel for this? I do have a proper sized crown, but I need to change the tube for that as well so that might be a jeweller's job. It has drilled lugs, a nice stamped clasp and a decent movement. The acrylic is Tropic 37 styled without a date window and looks really nice when the light hits it, but needs some big parts to take it further.

I’m setting up PS2 games on my Big Mac Pro running Linux and a GTX 1060 so I can sync game saves with my Mangmi Pocket Max, so I try to use RetroArch cores as best as possible. I’ve got LRPS2 running relatively okay, going for 4x resolution, but on Budokai Tenkaichi I get some slowdowns and audio drag. I can’t get the fabled ParaLLEL GS renderer to work though, it crashes every time? Vulkan is okay but slowing down here and there.

UPDATE: turning ON fastboot to skip bios fixed the issue. Shame as I love the bios boot but great to have great performance

Hi all, struggling to figure out what I should be doing with shader and other settings in the Dolphin core. Running Linux, Vulkan on a Mac Pro 5,1 with GTX 1060. Got Async Shaders on currently and plays wind waker well but then I go to need for speed underground 2 and it’s slowing down. Running at 3x resolution with a moderate crt filter on top. Is this just how it is or am I missing some key settings here?

I’m running Fedora Workstation 44 with an Nvidia card. Proprietary driver all configured. HDR setting toggled in displays, tv reports HDR10 signal. I can’t get RetroArch - installed via FlatPak - to display the HDR settings.

Any ideas?

Hi all, just about finishing a full console build for all consoles and emulators with ES-DE and RetroArch. I have multiple variants of games for CPS 1 and 2. For instance, several Cadillac and Dinosaur games, (dinoh.zip, dinoj.zip) etc, is there an easy or advisable method on hiding these variants for arcade system?

Over the weekend, I made a fatal error where I listed a 4 instead of a 6 in terminal. I was trying to format a usb stick to FAT32 so I could use it with a PS2 but hit the wrong drive, what started was a full MBR FAT32 formatting of one of my 2TB drives. I noticed my mistake and hit command-q on the terminal within seconds. I am now running testdisk on an Ubuntu live install in GPT mode to see if I can recover the partition.

I was running MacOS 15.7 on a Mac Pro 5,1 on an HFS+ drive prior to my accident.

As title, I am trying to install FreeMCB on to one of my two genuine Magic Gate 8MB memory cards. I have had to use YADE DVD exploit as FreeDVDBoot does not support my DVD version - 3.00E - which boots successfully to the launch browser. I can see and execute files from my USB stick, formatted FAT32, but when I launch the installer it goes to a black screen. I have tried the 1.996 and also the 1.995 versions, but both do the same.

Any common things I haven't done?

Hello gang, been gifted a silver 500003 in excellent condition with two matching controllers. Again, I’m excellent condition. Barely any use to either of them, super clean. They’re both “H” controllers though, sadly. So only some of the buttons are registering. I did some research and I understand they’re just a poor design and prone to failure. Weirdly, both of mine have excellent looking adapters soldered to the PCB, there’s no corrosion or anything, can I buy new conductive films and insert them without re soldering the connector or are they all just shit?
