My baby turned into a December baby and just got their first two teeth. Curious to know if you are brushing your babies teeth regularly at night? What age did you start this and how many teeth did they have?

My baby is 7.5 months old and over the last few weeks there's been an increasing loss of interest in many of her toys. Things that use to entertain her just don't anymore and then I have a separate pile of toys that are probably too advanced (but marketed to her age group) like stacking/foam blocks etc that just end up in her mouth and then she's bored again after 10 seconds. Anyone have any toy gems that allow you to get 15 minutes to yourself?

we have the lovevery subscription but tbh nothing has really been a hit. I had high hopes for the spinning rainbow/magic tissue box/ball drop but she just tries to eat them and wood doesn't taste very good lol

Has anyone had luck getting a remote exception after coming back to work from maternity leave? If so, how did you go about it?

At what point does working or not working make sense to you? What is your line?

I am really struggling with the fact that I will have to spend 50% of my income on a nanny and this alone makes it seem “not worth it” to work. I make $230k in NYC which leaves about $150k take home and a nanny cost $65-75k and that is just 9-5. I would still have to work for 1-3 hours after my baby goes to bed.

Part of me thinks I could stop working and just spend less money. Part of me thinks I need to keep working because I love it and should do it for future me once I’m done having children.

I also struggle with not knowing how much further I’ll get in my career if I plan to have 2 more kids in the next 5 years. I would miss 6 months of work for each maternity leave so 12 months total and wouldn’t be at the top of my game and on a promotion track while I was pregnant and exhausted for 18 months. So basically 30 months of the 60 months in that 5 year period seem like a wash.

Why do you work?

Is it purely for money? Are you unable to adjust your lifestyle down?

Is it for future you when the kids are older and you can get back to a place where you are growing and accomplishing?

Do you simply just enjoy it and feel like you need to get out of the house and use your brain in a different way?

Hi! Baby just turned 6 months. We’ve been following moms on call and the 6-8 month schedule is 4 bottles vs 5 bottles. For some reason this feels so drastic to me. Even I eat like 5 times a day lol.

Are many of you actually on 4 bottle schedules? If so, what was your experience with this? How did baby do with the change when it happened?

Schedule assumes baby is sleeping overnight. Bottles are 7-9oz at 7am, 11am, 3pm and 7pm with 2 meals of solids/purees around lunch and dinner or 1:00pm and 5:00pm

I have 20,000 pictures that go back all the way to 2016 but I’ve taken like 2500 of those since my baby was born. At this rate my phone is going to explode.

We’re traveling for the first time with the baby and are wondering if we should gate check the car seat or drop it off at the counter when we arrive to the airport.

We will not be using the car seat through the airport. My husband would have to carry it like a backpack the entire time until we board. We will be checking two suitcases so will need to go to baggage claim anyways.

Is there any advantage to gate checking? Are items typically safer from damage if gate checked? Would you gate check or counter check upon arrival?

I’m flying for the first time and not sure if this bag that comes with the Nuna swiv is sufficient for travel by plane. I plan to gate check the stroller.

Is buying a different bag from Amazon recommended? What have been your experiences with traveling and your stroller?
