Seek Drum sound on sepultura's Schizophrenia (1987)
Hi everyone, I have an obsession lately (yet another one). I am absolutely in love with and obsessed by the drum sound you can hear on the Sepultura tom fills from the Schizophrenia album. You can clearly hear it at 1:53 on 'To the Wall' https://youtu.be/RjS-QHF3bdw?si=au5pIYbOWX3dw2f1 . According to my research, rototoms have a similar sound, but there's more resonance. Does anyone know how to achieve this sound? Is it audio processing like a flanger, etc., or just a percussion sound I'm not familiar with? Thanks in advance for your leads and help.
