Mage professions
Going to be starting a gnome mage soon. Would it be a mistake to take herb/ alch over mining/ engi? I’ve taken mining/ engi on my last few characters and thinking about trying something new.

Carvana offered me $24,400 for my 2022 Base GR86 6MT with 26,000 miles. It’s in great shape, clean title with 0 issues. I just needed to get a bigger car. I’ve got a set of Advan RS-DFs, fortune auto 500 coils, upgraded speakers and ceramic tint on the car. I’ll be returning it to stock before selling and listing the parts.
That offer feels reasonable considering how convenient selling to Carvana is. Any thoughts?
Hi all! I’m thinking about buying some new coffee gear for my pour over setup. At the moment I am using my old J-Max that I got years ago for espresso. I have since bought a 064S that I use exclusively for espresso. The J-Max has been doing the job as my pour over grinder, however it has recently been producing a lot of fines and even on the coarsest setting it is still pretty fine.
I’ve been looking at possibly buying a ZP6 S as my new dedicated pour over grinder + possibly buying a switch to go with it. My daily drivers are an orea v3 and origami. For pour over I only use light roast beans, and tend to prefer more acidic, fruit forward funky coffees.
Would I notice a difference going to the ZP6 and is the switch a good brewer for the types of coffees I like? Thanks!
Hey all, I know this is an odd question to post in an 86 subreddit, however I’m curious to hear if anyone else has done a similar trade, or maybe even swapped to an 86 from an STI. Just looking to get some opinions from others.
I own a 2022 GR86 6mt base. I bought it new in the summer of 2022, and I’ve loved every bit of ownership. This car is pretty close to ideal for a new modern sports car, it’s lightweight, nimble, and a joy to drive. Especially for the price, it’s hard to beat as a dailyable fun car. My only complaint so far has been the interior rattles.
Now you may be asking yourself, if you love the car why would you consider getting rid of it? I also own a 93 R32 skyline. Between that car and the 86, I feel like I own two weekend cars. It’s worked well so far because I work remote, and don’t need to commute every day. I live alone (w/ my dog), and have been thinking about trading in the 86 to get something a little bit bigger, while still having some soul. I think having a sedan would be a lot more practical, allowing me to more easily drive my dog around, fit my bike in the car, probably have more comfortable road trips to visit family, etc.
All this being said, the VA STI seems like a solid replacement. I’ve also considered used M340i’s, but it’s definitely a jump up in price. Has anyone else traded to or from a VA STI? I’d love to hear how it compares.
Curious if anyone else has run into the same issue. I recently ordered a set of U9 6.5mm dot skates from X-Raypad as I’ve heard a lot of positive feedback, and they should last much longer than other dot skates. Feeling wise they are great, however I’ve noticed that I’m running into intermittent tracking issues and I believe it’s due to the skates. I’ve used obsidian red dots and green jade dots and did not experience this with either of those. Are the 6.5mm too tall and causing the sensor to not register some movements? I’m using a super light 2 dex, with 6 U9 dots (3 on top in a triangle, 3 on bottom in a triangle).
