How much is too much?

This is a little mental exercise.

There is much focus on IRMAA, Roth roll overs, when to take SSI, which bucket to spend first etc. In a hypothetical world, how much savings would make it impossible to benefit from any planning? If you have a billion dollars in personal assets at age 60, you are gonna pay! No tax brakes. You pay the max, right?

So, what is the lowest ("high net worth") amount of assets you could have and not benefit from retirement planning?

Which deed in california

I'm seeing an estate planning attorney to set up a revocable trust and will, etc. He wants to quit claim My real estate so that it is owned by the trust.

What types of deeds are options for this? I have heard of quit claims, Grant deeds, and warranty deeds. I don't know what they are exactly. Is this something I should have an attorney set up, or is it something that I can just download and fill out?

I have heard that this can cause problems with title insurance. Is that a real concern?

TIA!

Inherited retiment plan

I'm doing retirement planning and I'm wondering how to deal with retirement plan funds. I am going to give some to charity so it will not be taxed. My question is, what are the tax implications for heirs? I have no wife and no children. I don't want too much to go to uncle Sam.

How long do heirs have to withdraw money?

What about minors not related to me?

What about nieces and nephews?

Specifically a 70-year-old who can't manage money. She gets social security and Medicare. What are the implications for her government entitlements? How long does she have to withdraw funds? What if it is in a trust, so she can't blow it all at once?

I'm in California.

Thanks!

Driving assist pro

So after a few years of experience, how do you rate "driving assist pro?" How does it compare to FSD on Tesla or Supercruise? Thanks

2024 model 3

I'm looking at 2024 model 3s. I want a Tesla and the 2024 was upgraded (highland). I am seeing "premium" and "long range". Those names are not used in 2026 versions.

Are all 2024s highland or are there some with poorer hardware?

Is the premium worth the extra price?

Would you recommend the 2024 or 2025? I want the autopilot so not looking at the 2026.

Thank you!

401K inheritance

I'm estate planning in California USA.

My estate will be split between friends and family and charities. To whom should I give the 401K/IRA? Low income/tax bracket folks? Charities? Does it even matter? Thanks. Do charities pay taxes on donated retirement accounts?
