2024 Scribe Unable to Export Notebooks to Email

Not sure what to do, here... I got a like-new Kindle Scribe from FB marketplace and love it. Everything works great and as expected except for the fact that I'm unable to export notebooks to email. Whenever I try, I either get a "Your attempt to send the file "****" failed. Please try again in some time." error, or no email at all.

  • It's fully updated
  • It's linked to my personal email address, which is the same one associated with my Amazon account
  • I've restarted multiple times
  • I've toggled airplane mode on and off
  • I've toggled data privacy options on and off just to see if it made a difference
  • I can connect to the store and download books no problem

The to other interesting wrinkle: I tried removing a notebook from the device and redownloading it, and it just stayed queued and never downloaded the notebook back. So it seems like there's something about the Notebooks function SPECIFICALLY that cannot connect online to either send or receive data for some reason.

Went round in circles with Amazon support "chat" (AI) to no avail. Has anyone experienced this and able to resolve the issue?

I cannot believe Amazon makes it this hard to use the very expensive thing that they designed around this very specific value proposition. This is the kind of thing that drives customers to competing products.

Crash at Edwin Warner across highway 100.

Honestly have no idea how this could have happened. Must have been unconscious? Looks like the truck went the full length of the field, slammed into the tree before crossing the walkway and slamming into a tree. Front of the truck is completely destroyed.

I'm new to vintage watch hunting. What's my best bet for tracking down a Casio LW-70-T? Google and FB marketplace have failed me.

I play table tennis and was looking on a whim to see if Casio ever had any collabs with table tennis brands, which is how I discovered the Casio LW-70-T. Now I have a mighty need. I've tried a few sites and can't seem to find any active listings, so I'm guessing this one is pretty rare. FML. What do you guys do when you're tracking down a specific model? Is there a go-to tracker for this kind of thing?

SYS Fans at US Smash Knocked my GF's Glasses Off Fighting Over a Signed Ball Behind Us

TL;DR: Many but not all SYS fans are wild and inconsiderate. Story time.

Me and my GF flew across the country to attend US Smash together for the final 4 sessions. It was our first WTT event and, overall, we had an amazing time. Watching the game played in person at the highest level is incredible. What wasn't so great was being embedded in a sea of Sun Yingsha fans.

After she won the singles final, as usual, she signed a few balls and hit them into the crowd. As usual, a bunch of the fans left their seats and gathered closer to front of the stands for a chance to catch one. Unfortunately for us, the man sitting behind us caught one. He snatched it out of the air, his hand being one of maybe 4-5 that were right there around it or on it.

When he got back to his seat behind us, a lady in her 50s (along with her very senior mother) in the row behind HIM started berating him and yelling at him, I'm assuming because they believed that they should have got the ball and that he unfairly snatched it from them. The argument kept escalating to a ridiculous degree and I was already about to go get a staff member because they were totally killing the vibe for everyone in our section before the men's final.

We were trying to wait for it to die down when suddenly I see my girlfriend's head shoot forward and her glasses get knocked half off her face, and turn around to see that the lady was trying to reach for the ball and grab it while the man recoiled and resisted.

The below paragraphs are not editorialized in an attempt to make me look like a "stud" but to convey the over the top anger that flared up from two adults fighting like children and slamming into my girlfriend's head. I dialed it down since one poster seemed to think I was trying to tell a story about being a badass. Which is odd considering I was very clear that it was two old people

My adrenaline immediately kicked in and I was about to stand up and shove a finger in their faces and tell them to shut the fuck up or get their asses beat. Luckily I was able to take a split second to breathe and calm myself, and I realized that I was about to be yelling at an old woman and even older man, and was also surrounded by a completely full section of team China fans who seemed unfazed by what was happening.

The moment I turned around visibly furious the lady locked eyes with me and the man turned around and looked at me. I widened my eyes, gave the "yeah you fucked up" nod, and shook my hand across my throat and simply said "Let's not." The lady closed her mouth, and the man put his palms together and apologized, and I turned back around, vision still slightly dark and narrowed with violent anger, and made sure my girlfriend was okay.

It was really hard to fully enjoy the rest of the evening after that, which was unfortunate, because the men's final was great.

We were additionally exhausted by all of the SYS fans in EVERY match she played who would not shut the fuck up with their jai-yos. They collectively bully fans of any other player into silence. Any time anyone - even a single voice - cheers for her opponent, they have to set off a wave of "SUN YINGSHA, JAI-YO, SUN YINGSHA, JAI-YO, JAI-YO, SUN YINGSHA!!!" Every time. Every. Fucking. Time. They HAVE to have the last word. At several points they'd even sneak in one last cheer as SYS herself was serving or setting up to serve, completely disrupting her focus.

Honestly the most annoying fan-base in the sport. SYS looked consistently bothered and distracted by them, as did all of her opponents, and as me and my girlfriend discovered, they're not even supportive of each other.

I greatly look forward to my next WTT event and plan on going to US Smash next year, but after this experience unfortunately I now also dread having to suffer SYS fans constantly making the matches she's in all about them.

What Do You Consider the Most FUN (not top tier) DH Build?

I'm about to have a level 70 (paragon 98 I think) Demon Hunter, and I want to focus on a fun, gameplay first build that balances mindlessly steamrolling entire rooms and simple two-to-three skill rotation to make the build work. I remember having an incredible strafe build ages ago that I was super addicted to.

I recently found an ancient piece of Natalya's set and I know the spike trap build is top tier for DH but I don't necessarily fancy spending all of my time laying traps and setting them off. I've never tried a spike trap build so maybe I'll dig it once I have the 6-piece bonus, we'll see, but I'm not going to hunt for Natalya's.

For the DH addicts out there, what are your favorite dopamine builds?

S39: I Have Never Seen So Many Visions and Secret Level Portals

Been playing Diablo 3 off and on since launch, but most of my time has been concentrated on the later life of the game after it launched on Switch. I have about 600 hours between Switch and Switch 2.

Since Season 39 launched I have seen a markedly higher concentration of vision portals and secret level portals. It's actually preventing me from finishing bounties in a timely manner (I know I could ignore them, but it's so tempting).

Just yesterday in a single 90-minute play session I had 4 Vision portals, a rainbow goblin that took me to Whimsydale, and the Not Cow Level all randomly appear. Two of the vision portals had the spawns with dozens of treasure goblins, odious collectors, etc.

Am I the luckiest man alive or is everyone experiencing a huge uptick in portals?
