The word mini is doing a lot of heavy lifting - aoostar mako 470 -

This is with kodi indexing my library and steam downloading titles.

Man this is a powerful little box, augmented with 24tb USB attached storage for media, two of the 3 SSDs populated with 4tb wd blacks. And ofc ddr5 8000. All for under a grand with no SSD.

I did have 1 issue getting it up - some guy helped me here, media creation tool from Ms was the problem, switching to generic windows iso fixed it.

To aoostars credit - the responded about the free windows key on their page, and for my queries for assistance / link to new bios -but the windows iso was fine and I'll wait for posted releases and others to test first.

Make sure you bring over the Intel 2.5gbe drivers when you install, windows takes care of rest. Quiet little bugger too

Guys I need help - aoostar mako 47refuses to boot old windows SSD or USB windows installer, does Linux live fine - any ideas?

Not defective at all, I stress tested under USB live / Linux - when it goes to boot windows or USB windows installer it dies at the bios - secure boot enabled or no - same thing. Any ideas?

I tried updating the bios, I have 1.04, but the package says it doesn't match my motherboard so I didn't force it, contacted Aoostar - anyone have ideas?

If you're moving to a AMD HX370/470 platform avoid bosgame. Same price, DDR 8000 vs 5600 if you get aoostar

I couldn't believe the ram difference with bosgame hx 370, I immediately returned it. It's 43% more mem bandwidth which benefits all workloads. Holds 3 nvme's like bosgame too but also has vapor chamber. Learn from my mistake. No new PC this weekend.

Finally found the incompatibility causing castrophic reboots on iPlay 80 mini U, Google Fi - is my sim bad?

So I had an issue with reboots during the initialization process on setup. These reboots turn catastrophic / loop after Android auto is hooked up.

I ran the factory diagnostics under power volume down, all hardware is good. I thought it was tablet OS / generic. No one I could find had this experience though - I finally nailed it down to Google Fi. Ran Android auto thru wifi on my phone, 2 hours not a hiccup.

Had chat gpt review the recovery log - it looks like an issue with Google Fi, and haven't had a single reboot.

Is anyone using Google Fi? The cell stack is what chat gpt picked up on, it's incredibly heavy / not standard at all. Removing the sim, haven't had a single reboot since.

This is the second phone issue I have with Google Fi - I was one of the people with the fried sim issue every week, had to sell and get a new phone for it to stop. Google Fi never resolved that issue for 2.5 years -

So I ordered a tello sim so I can prove this. Just curious if anyone is using Google Fi and if they had any issues - maybe my sim is bad (tho it works in oneplus and oukitel without issue)

Anyone else seriously considering a truxton cab now?

I don't know guys, I'm really considering a truxton cab now -

They had to recreate a few things here - a new, but largely similar experience. Why did it attract us back then? It was one of the most beautiful 16 bit schmups anyone had every seen, and even against today's standards of gorgeous and they killed it here.

On top of it, it was a good game and it had to have all of it this time around - a little new, by the standards of the time blow any schmup you've ever seen away. Perfect amount of new with out changing the overall experience. Must play if you're an arcade sweat

A shooter I finally do not want scanlines on. Just amazing a++++ y'all must try this if you're an arcade fan of the series.

Serious flaw in iplay 80 mini ultra found - Android auto reboots in Camry, sante fe - even if Bluetooth is just on and not authorized to connect in car

It happened once or twice when I first got it, didn't think much. But now it's constant. I'm going to re eval the apps I've installed and maybe even wipe it, that's the next most obvious culprit, but I only use a few my chart doc office apps and credit card apps, same apps as on all my other devices.

Just be warned if you rely on Android auto, I can't even keep Bluetooth on while in the car

Finally happened, 8.8 tablet 144hz, 5g - iplay 80 mini ultra - my new daily and I'm in love with it - coming from oneplus 12

I am a very tall guy with big features, and using a phone can be problematic selective small things on screen. I've been waiting for a fast refresh, 5g 8.8 tab to switch too - and if you have been too, it's here. I won't waste time on much review space l, only real drawback is the thermal throttling on switch games / windows games emulation - but I have a y700 with telescoping controller -

So my use case is strictly phone, media functions like netflix, facebook, IG, and reddit -

Now, if youve been waiting for a while like me, you also know Lenovo is dropping one next month, supposedly 699$, 5g etc.

Lenovo has a thinner case, and I think is coming with oled now, and will do the heaviest of emulation with ease, but you're going to pay essentially double. Ive had a very high quality top grain leather folio I've been dying to use - replaces my wallet completely, fits inside a tiny murse of with ease.

I would love to see these become more mainstream as phones

Def worth the pickup if you're not will to spend 700, 800 on it -

Been going to docs for years - perhaps you can help me figure this out - perfect bloods and a1c, swollen foot and infections

So I've had diabetes for about 10 years. 5 have been flawless control. My a1c is 4.8 - has been for a while.

Despite this, I get one swollen foot if I eat any kind of carbs / never going over 120 bs. It's not heart, had that checked. Any ideas? Only way to rid the infection completely is to go down to 200 calories of protein for a couple weeks. I cannot eat anywhere near 2k calories because of my foot swelling. My doc doesn't seem to have an answer - been thru auto immune and all kinds of testing

Anyone ever heard of this?

Hand cast .999 silver urn - a tiny pocket was drilled then filled with more metal - my son's ashes are stored in here. 5 OZT

My son passed young, and I've been a stacker since finding this place. I reached out to someone on reddit in this forum who did the work for me 13 years ago.

I had 2 made - one for my wife. The back is stamped with his initials and DOB

I'm convinced people just hate Nintendo - put this thing on a OLED and it's so gorgeous and immersive -

I've been hearing this looked like crap docked, not at all and while sf6 is the only title I think is flawless in handheld, crap when docked, this was far more immersive on a bigger screen and looked amazing at 1440p

Was a hard core gamer and n64 came out when I was 19, just met my future wife, getting started in life - so I never played star fox 64.

If you haven't either, this should be a day one buy and I hope this is signaling they are rebooting the series.

Really nice, 60fps arcade shooter type fun. Like a modern day arcade game at home.

Rtx 5700, amd 7840 - switched from game pass to steam, the game is unplayable now - never really loads in and I get screen update every 5 seconds maybe -

It played fine for a year under Xb game pass. I switched to warzone and the game is unplayable. I tried reinstalling twice from steam, dropped to low settings etc -

Games like arc, sf6 etc play fine max quality no lag.

Cpu and gpu never max out or even comes close. My Internet gets 400mbps down and 200 up. Bandwidth is never an issue in any other online game.

Any idea what I can look at? Checked CPUZ - graphics card and mem are at right speeds. Pcie 4 SSD - wd black - ran diagnostics, nothing wrong there.

Additionally, I download stress tester / benchmark for GPU - no issues there and I get 400 fps.

Any ideas or anything similar anyone has experienced?

Next step is reinstalling windows and just want to check to see if anyone has experienced this -

Owed tax for 2024 and 2025, pay too much to 2025 per the IRS bill that came in - what happens to that money?

I paid a couple hundred more than I thought was due in 2025 per the remaining bill I got in today - what happens to that overage?

Do I subtract that from what I owe for 2024 as I finish that this month / is that automatic? Or do I need to do anything?

Steam Big picture + rog ally = high performance arcade

You get modern steam arcade games at 120fps, up to ps3 emulation at 1080p 60.

Running on a 27" touchscreen 144hz - the base hardware was only 800$ (open box rog ally extreme and monitor).

I use 8bitdo wireless arcade stick, Xbox gamepad, and iCode spinner and trackball controllers.

It's literally a flawless arcade setup that covers everything at 1080p max quality and high fps modern arcade gaming for under 1000$. The touchscreen steam navigation means no keyboard or mouse needed.

Now the two iCode controllers and 8bitdo wireless stick + Xbox gamepad for the gamut of controllers will set you back close to 500$, but that's about 1300$. If you need bass for your dopamine experience like I do, add another 200$ for a decent sound system. That's 1500$ all in, but you can take it as cheap or as far as you want to go.

Most people would be all in / happy with a simple Xbox controller.

Heck of a setup that is convenient, fast / fun interaction with ui / game selection.

5 categories - no selection fatigue with organization and browsing.

iCode Spinner works with steam / modern games too

It has super granular config options, and you can set it to mouse control and gamepad buttons. I set it up once, and freely move from steam to mame with no config changes at all. Really a nice addition to the arcade unit I'm building out, small enough to keep ready and not clutter the space, heavy enough to use on desk or holding in hand.

Definitely picking up there trackball option. I know this only gives me access to 15 games or so that I may play 5% of time. And 150$ a device it isn't cheap to access those games with the original control, but man, they feel and play so good.

Spinner control on modern Arkanoid at 120fps is just so satisfying.
