Circumcision is the worst thing happened to me.

M17

So I got circumcised as an infant for medical reasons. I knew the thing pretty early (5 or 6) because my parents told me about it. Then something happened. These people(father, mother, brother, cousins) started making fun of me for it.

They started calling me names like 'thumbuchethi' which literally means the one who got his tip cut. They use this every time. In argument if they are failing they (this not parents. They called names. This part is done by cousins and brother) literally say 'you 've no say because your tip is cut' and things like that. And this has continued for ten or so years. Now it stopped (just last year) but still bothers me on top of that I researched about it and found its bad sides like sensitivity loss. Now I think about it every single time when I see it. I feel like something is not normal about me. I feel like I'm missing out. I feel like it shouldn't have done. I don't even know why it was done to me. I can't ask them (parents) because they're also the ones who keep calling me names and stuff.

Edit: Cocos, thanks for the replies. It really made me feel better. 😊

Suggest me a book.

So I'm pretty interested in physics. Not just hearing big scale ideas. To do them and I'm doing it currently while in school (currently senior year). I also do some out of syllabus physics also. I want to read more about physics and build good intuition. Not books like a brief history of time which is for general readers. I'm okay with math. But mainly I want to carry this around and read and do the math when I get home. Which is the best choice?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: Topics I'm interested in: Astrophysics, mainly about blackhole and stars and its death and birth. Then Electromagnetism, Relativity, nuclear physics and Dual nature. Suggest me any topic.

[In progress] [500] [Fun]Just the opening. How's it?

Under the moon was a silent night until the paws beating against the ground interrupted the hush of the night. Through the bush jumped out Leo, a young Portuguese pointer with no collar around his neck. His tongue dangled outside violently and his breath was getting faster and faster as he ran away from two large hound dogs, one brown and the other a black. They chased Leo down the park.

As Leo ran through the grass and the bushes, he saw a light shining ahead. He increased his pace and aimed in that direction. He heard the hounds getting closer behind him.

BAAAM!

Leo rolled down the green slope and his ears were overloaded with cling-clangs. Dirt flew into his eyes and mouth. He was stopped when he hit an electric post.

‘Owwww!’ he whimpered. He raised his head and it was spinning like a ball. He shook his head rapidly to remove the dirt from his eyes. When he regained his sight he saw two large dark figures standing on four legs against the street light. He heard their laughs. The hounds laugh at him. After a few moments they went away.

Leo picked up his frail body slowly. He was hurt and his right front paw couldn't be placed properly on the ground. He slowly started walking across the park and he noticed it. Noises! Not just random noises. Rhythmic! Melodic! His ears twitched and caught the harmony. It was mesmerizing. Excitement mounted upon him.

Leo tried to run but at the noises but his paws didn't allow it. He paced himself at a comfortable pace and walked in the direction of the noises. After a few ten feets he saw a crowd forming afar. Leo slowly got closer and closer to see the real size of the crowd. It was vast and endless. He looked around to see where the noises were coming from but couldn't see anything but human legs moving in rhythm. He looked up to see a foot coming at him. He jumped away, missing it by a hair loom.

With the undying urge to find out where the noises were coming, Leo looked around and saw a small hill winding up. He started towards it, avoiding every foot that came at him. When he reached the top he looked down and saw a sea of hands moving like waves in unison. At the end of the crowd Leo saw a stage illuminated by lights of different colours. On the top were five men. First one with a long row of black and white keys in front of him. He hit each key in different patterns and it produced a melodious sound. The second one wore a narrow board which widened at one end with strings attached to it. He strummed the strings in harmony which made a lovable melody. The third one was also doing the same as the second one but a different sound was produced by him. The fourth one sat amidst large cylinders and metal plates dangling on metal sticks. He hit this collection of mundane objects with two sticks and this brought a rhythm blend of noises they produced together. And finally the fifth one was standing with nothing but a short black stick in his hand into which he screamed. But the screaming was very beautiful. It was not random sounds. It was constructed with words which Leo didn't understand. Leo wagged his tail and heard this magical noise. He had never experienced something like this.

Leo sat on that hill until the performers finished and the audience dispersed. He laid down after everything went silent. ‘What an incredible thing that was!’ he thought and closed his eyes for a good night of sleep!

Thanks in advance!

I need help on deciding a dish.

I need help on deciding a dish.

So I'm writing a story where a critic comes to the restaurant and asks something off of the menu. The cooks plan on something Indian.

What do you guys reckon?

My only requirements are

  1. It should be nice looking and appetizing.

  2. Something elevated. Gourmet foods.

  3. And of course delicious.

Thanks in advance.

Currently I'm 120kg (264 lbs) at 175cm (≈5'7).

So I started eating healthy and cut all junk. I started doing intermittent fasting with only a 7 hour window to eat (I'm enjoying it).

Then I'm going for a bike ride for 10ish km 6x/week and I'm strength training 3-4x/week.

I tried this routine for 2 weeks and I'm enjoying it. I'm especially loving biking.

My goal is 85-90kg in 10-12 months. Is it feasible?

PS: I've a good calorie deficit.
