So I got the chance to ride a DesertX for the first time today. And it blew my socks off!!! What a wonderful bike. I’m coming off a BMW 1300GS and love the motor and the handling of the DX! The exhaust note with the Termi pipes was amazing. I’m in love, I need one! That is all. Carry on.
Had to get out of the heat in town, so I ran up to Chinns Lake. It was packed, but I expected it for a Sunday. Did find a nice spot on the creek to take a nap.
It was pushing 100 degrees in the city today, so Aloha and I headed to the mountains for a swim. Great day.
Had to get out for the day and away from anyone. Was awesome Memorial Day.
Went camping off Rampart. It was a beautiful day. Ran Long Hollow, Jackson Creek, Upper Jackson Creek, Dakan, and Fern Creek. Just need to get out and breathe!
I had a good time at the Indian demo truck, road three bikes; Sport Chief, Chieftain Dark Horse, and a Challenger Limited. My favorite was the Challenger! Smooth, powerful and great wind protection. I was impressed. I wanted to like the Chief sport, but it was a let down compared to a HD Low Rider ST.
