I used to work in a Pizzeria about 8 months ago before I got fired on a whim because I asked the boss for gas money to go to restaurant depot. It’s been 8 months of me doing uber and DoorDash just to scrape by because other places won’t hire me because of my previous charge that got dropped.

I was working there as a GM for about a year and a half and on my return on the first day, I audited a weeks worth of invoices. I was horrified on how bad they were getting scammed this whole time due to inflated prices from Performance Food Group also known as Roma.

Let’s say a store makes 900k and profit margins are about 10%. I took it upon myself to check out other suppliers/stores for better prices and found that his net profit could be from 90k to 145k just from the work I was putting in. A 60% increase on profits alone from the savings not having to do any extra advertising or changing any recipes.

The issue for me is that he only has me on part time and I really need full time because I’m going to be homeless in 9 months and need to save up a lot of money. He knows my history and uses that against me to push it off even after all the hard work I put in the two weeks I was there. I gave him an ultimatum today that if he doesn’t see my value and my needs then I can’t continue working for him.

I feel like if I was a business owner and someone showed me in detail after auditing my invoices a 60% increase in money I would have them full time and make them want to stay with me forever. I don’t feel valued and my life is going to shit.
