THE CHERRY PICKERS by J.X. Williams, Sundown Reader 573, 1965, cover artist unidentified

Pretty sure there's a Chinese restaurant near me that has "migrant wantons" on the menu, but maybe that's a typo. And maybe just me but does the guy look like Jethro from The Beverly Hillbillies?

Enjoy!

Help confirming what I have - mid-60s reprint?

Obviously in rough shape but the complete absence of any copyright or printing information has me puzzled. Book club edition? Can't be earlier than mid-60s given the reference to original published 25 years ago. But would still like to know more.

Thanks in advance!

SHARING SHARON by John Dexter (Harry Whittington), Idle Hour 452, 1965, cover artist unidentified

I'll go ahead and assume that this is consensual role playing and that afterwards this lovely couple is going to enjoy that delicious fruit bowl there waiting for them. Otherwise, troubling.

Dude picked his socks to match his humidor (or clock)? Or artist needed to use up the gnarly green paint he had left over?

THE LUST LOTION by Curt Aldrich, Nightstand Books 1825, 1967, cover art by Robert Bonfils

Holy gravity-defying body parts, Batman! Definitely one of the more curious covers I've acquired. Hopefully I didn't acquire any conditions for which I need that cream along with it.

Christopher Lambert (Highlander) on Cinefantastique

Apologies that this is not a comic but something I thought the sub would enjoy. Sadly too late for Sean Connery's sig, but happy with this nonetheless.

LONGJOHN'S LUST by J.X. Williams, Evening Reader 786, 1965, cover artist unidentified

Interesting use of "wanton" as a noun and not an adjective.

CGC Signature Series with Christopher Lambert - Highlander!

Very pleased with how these came out. I'm a big fan of the original movie (well, the first one anyway) and stocked to see what Henry Cavill does with the role.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Found some speculation that cover artist might be Bonfils.

This book is neither "sleaze" nor "gay" and is instead a serious work of fiction by a notable Australian artist and author. Originally published in 1938 and made into a movie in 1969 starring James Mason and a young Helen Mirren.

Sounds a little like that J.P. Morgan story that made the rounds yesterday ๐Ÿ˜ And is that the tiki statue which Michael Brady found in Hawaii in the background?

This one doesn't seem to fit neatly into the sleaze category and appears much more comic in the vein of MASH or Catch-22 or even MAD magazine. Actually one I might consider reading! ๐Ÿ˜

"Alan Marshall" is a "house name" for Nightstand Books and could refer to any number of authors. From the blurb on the back this one seems a little darker than many in the genre.
