I started with the Orient Kamasu, and ended up comparing it with a Seiko Presage Negroni and Milifortic S089 (SPB489J homage). The Kamasu looks easiest to wear. The Negroni has the best-looking dial to me, but it also feels the dressiest. The S089 is the busier outdoor option. For a first red watch, which styles would you choose?

I love watches with unique designs, and those 3D little stars fit the moonphase theme perfectly. Baltany seems to feature this bubble back on many of their models. It feels quite distinctive on the wrist, but it is not uncomfortable at all.
My most worn watch from last year. The flat case back provides comfort on my wrist, unlike the bubble caseback of San Martin. Plus the true no date NH38 was nice detail.
I know the recent versions changed to the st2130 which should be a nice upgrade, but that new OTF clasp is the real surprise. I am thinking about whether I should change the clasp on my current one.

As for a metal bracelet, this is just an idea—I know it’s not really available—but I’d love to hear if anyone has tried fitting one themselves. I asked Simon, and he told me there isn’t an S089-compatible metal bracelet yet.
Only NH38 available. I saw the discussion earlier about Baltany switching movement. Even though the NH38 is a true no date movement, if I had the choice I would definitely choose the ST2130 hands down.
As for the wearing experience, I absolutely love the matte finished ceramic bezel. It has a nice texture and scratch resistant, which feels like a upgrade over the steel material on the original watch. On top of that, the crystal clarity and the water resistance are both outstanding.
Baltany just released the S4099, and it immediately made me think of the Breguet Classique 7147.
Not the same details, obviously, but a similar general lane: Roman numerals, textured center, and a small seconds dial. The hands are probably the most obvious difference. I think I prefer the shape on the Baltany, but the blued hands on the Breguet still look better to me.
I looked up the specs after seeing it. The Baltany is 38mm with the Hangzhou 5000A micro-rotor, while the 7147 is 40mm and only about 6.2mm thick with 502.3 SD. For smaller wrists though, the Baltany’s size might actually make more sense.
